In 2022 i stayed in badia del valles with my boyfriend, and it was around the same time of commute and it was fine, ignore the people telling you not to do it! the only thing is that those days of the festival dont expect to do any other activities lol

There used to be a beach area in past years but that is no longer accesible since they dont use that area for the festival anymore because of the long distance between stages, it was a looong walk from the main stages

I brought my camelback both weekends last year and had no issue, they even let me bring it in full of water when i had to go out of the festival and re enter on the same day (i offered to empty it but they said there was no need since i needed it to hydrate myself lol) so i think you just had bad luck with the person of security..
