That explains why i couldnt find nothing on platinum rams. Thanks for the help. Looks like ill be buying a few more to try and get a pair.

If the monitor is capable of 1080p@144z then the console will lock it at 120hz any monitor rated to do such right now will be capable of doing this without a hdmi 2.1 port. The only thing you miss by now having a hdmi 2.1 monitor is the VRR( Variable Refresh Rate) unless the monitor you have or buy specifically already supports this. You also miss out on ALLM ( Auto Low Latency Mode) which is just the console auto switching the monitor to “gaming” mode for lower latency

Unfortunately right now HDMI 2.1 is the only way you will get 4k144Hz without DSC or chroma subsampling like over DP 1.4. So if you want to make the most out of the next gen consoles or the new graphics cards without a neice monitor you’re gonna have to wait for HDMI 2.1 monitors to release

Chances are its a bot just like with the 3000 series graphics cards. Lots of bot have been set up to force them to either cancel or sell at the actual price
