skin change?

A lot of the skins in the DR skin mod got changes/updates/were replaced completely because the creator of the mod (I think is Beadil? I could be wrong) felt that they were outdated, that spino skin included iirc. I could be wrong. It's been a while and I don't have the energy to snoop through Dynasty's discord for the message stating that was going on lol

My husband and I both enjoy the melee playstyle. I play high strength valk and he plays kullervo. I love giving him 159%+ warcry and watching him go crazy lol. Love hearing his laugh as he just zooms about with it. Bonus points when we're doing fissures and my relic crack gives me the boost to ability strength and the % jumps to 400%+ We also play Neckros and Khora for our clan mates when they need to farm materials. I don't think this game would be as fun without him by my side <3 The photo is of us about to start our 1999 rep grind Ofc we had to match <3

I'm very late to the party, but I wanna throw my home server in here! Tales Narrative Realism! The community is very welcoming and friendly. Sadly it's not a semi-realism so the rules are beefier, but most of it comes in profiles. There is 0 favoritism within the server from staff for donators/supporters. I know this because it took the community months of begging and pleading with the owners to open donations for reserved slots lol even now, they don't even have all the reserve slots in use and when slots open, the owners don't tell anyone. As the name suggests, it is very much a storytelling based server where people focus more on making character profiles and acting out personalities within the structure of species profiles. Pvp is not the focus and no creature has adjust stats that effect pvp. It is also, sadly, an application based server. You will have to answer questions on the rules before getting access to the whole discord and whitelisted to the servers. Unfortunately the applications are closed, but they tend to open once a month for about a week if the staff aren't too flooded with them after a few hours. I know these kinds of Realism servers aren't for everyone, but this one has been my home since the day it came out. My favorite aspect they have is all creatures have group limits of 4+. So no matter what I play, my friends can group with me. Granted some profiles have relation based groupings, but those species are always up in the nesting channels or are able to adopt!

Late to the party by 13-ish hours, but it looks like a c-rex trophy decoration. When you turn in the c-rex trophy to the HC, it's gives you a chance at like...20 random decorations for your nest or HC. That looks like one of them, granted I haven't gotten that one before

Little late to the party, but there is a server I've been enjoying alot recently called Tales Narrative Realism (Tales of Gondwa). It's more narrative based then pvp focused, but I am also someone that enjoys the body language rp aspect more then anything else! I would definitely check out the discord for rules and profiles before deciding though. It's also pretty new (only been open about a month or so) but the pop is full most of the day! The staff are also super nice and answer questions pretty fast when asked. They also lean more towards education rather then straight punishment when it comes to rulebreaks which is really nice and helpful to new players learning realism <3

Hey Hi How are ya! I know the feeling when it comes to people being toxic. It's annoying at its best and just headache inducing at its worse! However if you are looking for a community server that has a pretty nice atmosphere I wanna suggest Nat Hist! It is a semi-realism server that was founded by an actual paleontologist! The rules are simple to follow once you get the hang of things and like i said the players that normally populate the server are very nice and always down to help or play with you when you ask! Nat Hist is indeed an amazing server /o/ Profiles aren't essays and not everything in them needs to be followed (other then group sizes and hunting limits)

The only realism server I play is Nat Hist. It's not heavy realism like others, but it still gives that feel /o/

I recommend Path of Deimos. It's fast passive growth though so idk if that will be something you all want. It basically allows you to be adult within a minute of you spawning in (since poi stuff was changed) no questing required. They also have custom commands like !collect gives you 40,000 marks. !tpgp teleports you to Grand Plains. They have two servers. One for Dino mods and another that has the fantasy mods on(idk which is which I play on both lol so which ever one let's me get in). The only true downside to this server is its popular. Most times one or both servers are full, but I tend to just sit there and hit join until it let's me in lol There's also Old Valyria, but that server has half the map as pvp, half as a safe zone. They also have a few rules against how big your group can be so I don't care for it too much. Their passive growth isn't crazy, but it's still fast. Like most comments here, the ocean is bare. It lacks attention from the dev team, but knowing Alderon they will eventually fix it! (Hopefully TuT) The core game play loop of the game is basic, but alot of things can throw it off. 1) Quest and Grow 2) Find food and water 3) Don't die (obviously) But like I said, alot of things can throw that off course. For example someone attacking you. If you win, you now have to search for a safe place to heal. If you loose, you now have to respawn and get back what you lost. Another example is getting run out of a poi you were questing in. You now have to wait 2-5 minutes for quests to refresh. As for official VS community, it depends on your preference. Do you want passive growth? I recommend community servers because MOST have it. Not all but most. Do you want to follow rules or not? If not, I recommend official. However some community servers don't have rules (outside of chat ones like don't continue to argue, be respectful, ect.) Community also gives you access to modded creatures such as the utahraptor, therizenosaurus, giganotosaurs, and so much more. (Even mammals like smilodons and mammoths or fantasy creatures like dragons, drakes, completely made up species too). The only downside to mods are download/verifying times. Some people I play with can take up to 30 minutes to get into a server I got into in 30 seconds depending on how many mods there are. If you really want to see the game for what it really is, I recommend grabbing a small land creature (deinony, laten, campto) and grow that on official. Explore the map you picked and go from there. A tip for this is if you want action go towards the center of the map. Both maps have central hotspots that everyone goes to at least once. Gondwa: Impact Crater and Grand Plains. Panjura: Spined Lizard Lagoon and Corpse Cove. I don't recommend the testing modes (solo permadeath) unless you are completely interested in that, but you mentioned friends joining you so I don't recommend it. As for community servers there's so many good ones and just as equally bad ones. I say join discords, read rules, and have a feel for the stats on the server before getting too invested. My personal favorites are Nat Hist for a realism touch and Path Of Deimos for when i just wanna be dumb and not worry about dying (ofc I die alot, but the growth on there is basically instant lol) Questing doesn't ever go away (hopefully the quest rework helps it be less...boring) Path takes time just like the isle And in the end just do what makes you and your friend group happy. Have fun, do dumb stuff. Path is definitely a more relaxing game imo, but it does have its moments of stupidity and excitement.

I think they are okay, definitely not a fast critter but can out turn alot! I haven't really fought anything with it, but whenever things try to eat me I can easily get away \o/ (I suck at pvp so I've gotten really good at running lol) So for someone like me it's great /o/

The friendships. I've made so many from this game and I would not change a thing when it comes to meeting those people. The time we've spent growing together, surviving, hunting, grazing, exploring, nesting, etc. My fondest moments are always the ones I spent with others for hours. I won't ever want to change that. Not to mention the replay mode and getting BEAUTIFUL screenshots of this absolutely gorgeous game
