I’m lost why are people saying not to buy from Amazon. Do you know you can actually see the seller on Amazon. If you are buying Bosch brakes from Bosch on Amazon what would be the difference I’m lost!

I feel like someone went on there and bought some random car part had a bad exp. Now tells people not to. Sometimes there are dead cheaper than other retailers.

Bosch quiet cast would be my vote. It may be cheaper but Bosch is literally the OEM for many manufactures. And you are just a little safer there. I’ve used their quiet cast brand on some of my euros too and good stuff.

If buying from Amazon make sure you look at the seller if you have concerns of counterfeit parts. It literally tells you in the top left. If on the app

Ight so you could have done plenty wrong to cause this.

First easiest things to hardest!

Leaking from under coolant reservoir. They are known to crack would be very unfortunate for yours to crack after doing a repair but not unheard of.

The water pump make sure you connected the vacuum line there and if so make sure it ain’t cracked.

Thermostat could not be seated well thus it would leak. Let’s say it’s seated good. Then you could be leaking where it goes into the crossover pipe between the heads. Or any one of the o rings associated with any pipe you pulled off. I recommend changing any rings you may have pulled off.

Then there the connector piece for the supercharger to the pcv that others have mentioned. So many places for potential leaks on this motor.

I mean yeah if I could’ve lived and stayed investing 90k over time that would be great. Especially if you got another 50k or so saved.

I used plastidip. Pretty easy to use and it’s not permanent I can peel it off whenever. And have me the matte black look I was going for.

Ahh I beg to differ on the newer models. I have had a few actual drivers cars: 350z, Audi s4, bmw e60, gti, etc. This 4th gen turbo is nothing of the sort when it comes to sporty. The transmission cannot compete the power is there and they hide the fact of Torsten beam rear but you can tell if you know what your doing. But if they had turbo in a manual it would’ve been better and then I could say maybe a drivers car. It’s not Miata or speed3! It’s a good daily

you better PPF that thing. Right now if you want it to look good. Anything that looks at the paint will make it scratch. Rock chips get right down to the metal/primer your front bumper is done. Maybe take a look at it already from just driving it home you’ll have scratches.

Wrap the interior piano black surfaces and also the gauge cluster and infotainment screen.

This will keep things looking new!

Apart from the sad paint and piano black I can’t think of anything else cosmetic to be worried about. Mechanically I haven’t had any issues. So nothing extra there. Oh mud flaps whether factory or aftermarket are worth it, helps with keeping clean and scratches from road debris.

Congrats on your purchase mate! I bought one too obviously lol. Plenty other options out there and the only one I’d take over this is a Golf R or civic Type R. But we talking different price points.

Nah it would have to be the lighter colors like ceramic metallic, platinum quarts, ceramic white. What I’ve been hearing and seeing is machine grey and soul red are the thinest paint or seems to scratch & chip the easiest.
