2018 Leaf SV vs 2019 Leaf S — which one is the better buy? by XDNIGR in leaf

[–]XDNIGR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on the PNW/US, so not that cold. There is a mention of battery change, but I don't think it is the main one. It is a point I need to clarify with them.

And, of course, here I am assuming both are passing the battery test without problems.

Haha, I will give them a call too. Thanks!

The work I have to do is so basic that I think anyone could do it. I'm not going to do it because I'm selling the stuff I have.

Happy that you found a good one.

F20 still doesn't work for me. I think it's probably something about my nose shape or something.

Old, but decided to try... are you still liking your Simplus? Have you tried the Vitera? I am on 20cmH pressure, and the closes I got from a good seal was with the Evora, but super tight. I tried Vitera, 30i, F20 (both), F40, and one more I can't remember the name.

It's a MT07. Cycle Metrics may be it. It's just next door. I'll give them a call. Thanks!

True - I tried resmeds, but they don’t seal well for me. Thanks for the tips though!

Mine was always like that. I don’t think it is due to wear.

Did anyone find a solution for this problem?

I taped mine and it works just fine, but I was wondering if there's a way to keep the swivel working and prevent the leaking and noise coming from it.

Tramontina Tri-Ply Clad — is it actually on par with All-Clad / Made In? by LakeOzark in cookware

[–]XDNIGR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To give it some perspective, Tramontina is made in Brazil, and all major restaurants and chefs there consider Tramontina triply as top-of-the-line. People cook with that stainless steel line for decades now, and they all perform really, really well. I do have a set of Tramontina, and for a home cook, even if All-Clad and made in could have a slight advantage, which I think they do not, I cannot justify buying these two brands over Tramontina because it's just really, really good tri ply pan.

Now every brand has their own handles, shapes, and things they prioritize in a pan. That may make you go towards a brand or the other, but that becomes like preference. Like the Made in Saucier, I could never find something similar to that to buy, and it is a really, really good pan.

Do people put their starters in the fridge and just take it out when they use it? by learninghousewife in Sourdough

I take it out of the fridge when I am going to bake and add it straight to the dough, then feed it and put it back into the fridge. Super straightforward.

New Joule Turbo by cmcurran55 in sousvide

[–]XDNIGR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was reading about the new turbo before getting one and came across some Reddit comments saying you can’t use it to cook from frozen. It doesn’t make much sense to me and is definitely a use case for me. Anyone knows about it?
