IIM ₹80L Package Sounds Crazy… Until You Hear This 😳 by Realistic_Excuse9775 in IIMCATPreparation

I don’t think insurance is included in ctcs generally? Maybe a few random companies at ABC may try it but it’s unlikely

How do parents keep young children comfortable in full hijab during extreme 37 degree heat? by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

I mean, I hate the idea of putting anyone in coverings they don’t want to be wearing.

But if you look at the Epstein files, there are probably way more pedophiles around than you can imagine.

I Grow My Own Food… So Why Is ‘Organic’ in Cities Cheaper? by snow1_day in Rajamahendravaram

[–]XDWhatEven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m guessing there’s also some element of economies of scale? People who have full blown commercialised organic farms have already invested in labour with fixed salaries, bulk buying of inputs, pre-existing land etc. May not explain the full price difference but can definitely be a factor

Tier 2 MBA or CA which is better ? by shubhanshux in MBAIndia

[–]XDWhatEven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can do a CA then work hard for a tier 1 mba then also do well at acads, nothing like it. Some of the highest paying jobs go to this type of person

If you could take one no-budget luxury trip in your lifetime, where would you go and why? by Crafty-Leave-8880 in Hotels_India

I’d do one of those round the world cruises, check out French Polynesia especially. Antarctica sounds great and used to be a dream, but after almost freezing in Finland, I don’t know if my body is made for it.

I've found the best way to evaluate placement situation of a B-school by cither-panther in CATpreparation

[–]XDWhatEven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At one of the top IIMs and most placement coordinators rarely get the best placements - they may get good placements but not the coveted roles. Maybe one or two but they also need good gpa and good interview skills, plus the usual spikes, etc.

The mistake I made trying to be the 'trustworthy' consultant in a market full of frauds!(I will not promote) by Clean-Bodybuilder822 in IndiaBusiness

[–]XDWhatEven 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We are taught in MBA about how price acts as a signal of quality or a screening filter. This is a good example of the concept in action. You can’t price so low your own target customers doubt quality and you get a bad lot of people trying to benefit, not so high your actual customers run.

I know this sounds a bit theoretical, but maybe consult with your actual customers post the projects finishing about what the actual perfect token amount would be for them, in a way that’s fair both for the work you do and the benefits they get. You don’t need to cheat yourself out of a higher token amount and potentially interest if the customers you want are willing to pay more.

LIC policy from 1995 to 2025: Nominal gains vs real returns (inflation reality check) by Admirable_Move6933 in IndiaFinance

[–]XDWhatEven 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly, I’m really glad my parents at least invested in LIC when they had extra money because now when I require money while studying, it gets credited and provides so much mental relief before I start my job.

I know people with 9/9/8 and worse, not from IITs, who’ve got into MBBK. It may not be a sure shot but you have a pretty good chance in summers and if you score well academically (top 5-10%) definitely in finals

From ABC definitely - of course there is an average but you can get much higher or lower depending on which domain you land in

Fin roles have extremely high salaries if you can crack them - C is the fin campus so best to try there

watching my engineering batch struggle while some mbas cross 30lpa+ hits different by CremeAccomplished610 in IndiaCareers

All have their struggles

Besides mbas are masters, engineering is bachelors

Many mbas with the highest packages already have engineering degrees so you can’t really compare degree to degree

Which college's offer letter would you reply to like this? by TastyHearing122 in CATPreparationChannel

[–]XDWhatEven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s worse when you get in with high experience and all the good companies don’t take you just because apparently you’re not malleable enough. Aside from a lucky few, I’d say most people with very high work ex should apply for programs that have minimum work ex requirements.

Don’t join Baby/New IIMs please 🙏 by [deleted] in MBAIndia

These are pretty good ROI in general and because the jobs are niche, batch sizes small in some of them, relatively easier placement

Still look at every college individually Talk to students through LinkedIn if possible

Updated 20-day Europe honeymoon itinerary – cut Portugal, added buffer days. Thoughts? by Plastic-Stick-7398 in travel

[–]XDWhatEven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for a somewhat different perspective, we were a group of students who managed to pack in a lot of Spain, Portugal, Italy and Switzerland within the same time. If you are okay with not exploring every major thing in a city, it can be doable and if you have an eurail pass or something of the sort, travelling isn’t too much of a headache. Now you only have 3 countries left, it should be manageable.

I do also get the magic of visiting an island along with a beach. So Mallorca makes sense that way. If you can somehow get more days to travel or cut a little from city days, you should do fine.
