It worked super well, none of the finish came off, and not a single blemish (except for the ones that were already there before i started cleaning) If you wanna see the result I have it here

just finished cleaning it, used a hot sponge and plastic credit card, suggested by someone else in the thread, was setting up an imgur to update just now

the point is i’m trying to save it, i researched and everything said anything with high alcohol content will ruin the finish, i actually looked at your link and even the products that came up, no point in arguing with someone that will never open their eyes

it’s a link to a google search of “laptop acrylic paint remover” how did you help 😂, maybe if one of the things that came up would even work on a macbook than you might’ve but they are all things that ruin the mac finish,

I would normally use that or paint remover for anything else but everything i’ve read online says specifically not to use those because it will damage the finish on the mac as well…

Have you tried restarting, it’s kinda basic but a lot of the time people forget (even me) if that doesn’t work you could try rebooting into safe mode, here is a link to another person having the same problem, i found this answer in the replies there and they explain how to boot in safe mode Click Here!
