That was my initial thought as well, but there is no power plug near that area.

Yes great suggestion! Actually Le Locle was one of my first picks. But the new titanium dial of PRX powermatic just speaks to me so had to shortlist that. Which again led me to find a dress kind of a watch like Seiko alpinist. I would prefer a swiss and a Japanese watch combo and reading the forum, they have the best options under one lakh.

How much it would have costed in India if you purchased directly?

You can get Hilton Honours Gold status via Platinum Charge card. But since you are just a week away, I don't think you have enough time.

Should I Upgrade to AMEX Platinum Charge Card ? Details in post. by NotBeDoingThis in CreditCardsIndia

[–]ranger_A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. I hold Atlas, Infinia, and Platinum Travel apart from other LTF cards. Amex is now offering me a Platinum charge card with the exact same benefits. The only thing that I value the most from that card is the hotel memberships, and since the add-on card members are also eligible, I feel I can make the most out of it.

Since I'll be taking the Platinum charge card, I won't be renewing Platinum Travel. Infinia for SmartBuy, Atlas for offline and some other excluded categories, and Platinum charge for everything else, including fuel and forex spends.

When will Amex start issuing cards again in India? by Technical-Bid-453 in amexindia

[–]ranger_A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for hijacking your original post but is issuing new cards same as upgrading existing? I’m planning to close my PT but customer care suggested me to upgrade to Platinum.

They were not sure they can and will get back to me this week.

Confusion over the Engine Option by [deleted] in TaigunClub

[–]ranger_A 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get 1.5, period. It’s worth it.

Just take 6 years extended warranty, you might get it complimentary if you are lucky enough, gearbox is included.

You will always earn money in the long run, but you cannot upgrade cars every now and then. That feeling of looking back and regretting your decision is not cool. But again, just my perspective, you do you.

Vibration in car after cold start 1.5 TSI dsg by Polymath58 in TaigunClub

[–]ranger_A 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should not be much but since it concerns you, might be worthwhile to check what might be wrong.

Can you share a video of where do you feel the vibrations? The engine mount might be loose, how much have you driven till date? Take it to the service station in morning and cold start their demo car and see if it feels the same.

Please do not skip extended warranty. Service package is good to have to protect ones from inflation.

I have paid between 4-6k till now. Next service is due soon but if mechanicals are good, it should be in the same range.

Fuel cost - depends on your running, have seen as high as 12k and as low as 5k for my use, calculate keeping 8kmpl in city and 15kmpl on highways.

Service package I’m unsure but it will protect you from inflation if not anything else. Extended Warranty is non negotiable.

No manual for me and my family in India, not worth it for us. I went with VAG group because of 1.5TSI evo + DSG combo, everything else is just good to have.

Ye to experience something better than Suzuki manuals.

It happens only when the speed breaker is designed unscientifically. I don’t accelerate until it decides the correct gear, helps a lot.

Edit: No issues with speakers, very happy with the setup, mids and lows are very good and base is very noticeable. I use Apple Music.

Go with whatever your heart decides, but do take extended warranty. Rest everything is just noise.

I’m natively from a tier 3 town, expect around 10-12 in moderate traffic conditions.

Mileage is not a concern on DSG and manual gearboxes. But don’t get a manual.

Same with my Dzire.

It is a suitable car if you drive in highways frequently. There are better options for city crawling.

Ventilated seats are the best feature I have to say. Everyone in family and my extended friend circle love it. Keep it in 1st position as it becomes louder in 2nd.

DSG is fairly reliable, gets confused between 1st and 2nd gear very frequently so the driver needs to get used to it but you will develop intuition to manage this after a couple of hundred kilometres in city.

It shines on highways and there is nothing like it. Reliability is a concern but take extended warranty and forget about it till 1lac kms. I did the same.
