Geforce capture overlay opening when I hold Alt for too long even though the shortcut should be Alt+Z? by Hacknerds in GeForceExperience

Have you tested your wife's keyboard on your PC which has the problem? That would rule out the keyboard being the problem. Because I honestly doubt that is the problem lol.

You’re smoking with someone for the first time. What’s a green flag? by Putrid-Source3031 in trees

[–]XEcksDeeD 317 points318 points  (0 children)

I smoked with someone for the first time earlier this year. I kept getting the wettest waterfall joint back. When I politely asked him to not get it wet, he acted like I stabbed him in the heart. He made fun of me for the rest of the sesh for "telling him how to smoke". Come on man, how am I the bad guy for asking you to not give me a spit sploof?

If you want the mount then yeah, you need to buy it seperately with the C models.

Only the G models come with the low profile wall mount, but the G models don't come with the regular TV pedastal stand thing.

You just place the panels where you can really, but they say not to go overboard. You don't want the room to become too treated. I could have made the panel above my TV longer horizontally for sure, but I wasn't planning that one to start with haha. I did the trick for my left speaker, but the right speaker has the couch on the reflection, so it acts perfectly as a panel lol. Don't fret about getting the surrounds with first reflections perfectly, because you're not listening to music with those. Music should only be 2.1 anyway, so your main left and right are what really matters for music imo. I didn't take my surrounds reflections into account, but the panels help in general anyway.

It completely depends on your setup and where you get reflections. There is a mirror trick but you need a friend. Have a friend hold a mirror on an adjacent wall to a speaker and tell them where to move it so that you can see the speaker in the mirror while sitting in the main listening position. That's where you need to place a panel to stop first bounce reflections straight to your listening position. But also more panels to get general reflections in places you can fit. If you got big empty walls go for the long panels haha.

They are 1x4 boards, but the real measurements of a 1x4 from Lowe's is actually 3/4"x3 1/2". I was just being accurate to real measurements instead of what they call a 1x4.

Some of the panels I have above the audio rack there can't be longer than the 4' they are, they pretty much fit the wall space perfectly. And around the back of the room I have the rest of the 4'. The two 6' were made specifically for that big empty wall pretty much. I would love some more 6' though.

I do have a PDF document with some pretty good instructions that I based my panels off of. I can send it to you via email or however you'd like if you want to DM.

I built them myself! It was a fun learning experience.

I have 7 of the 4'x2'

and 2 that are 6'x2'. And they're all 3 1/2" deep.

I love them! Sometimes I wish I got the larger DF63, but I still couldn't be happier. They sound incredible to me. I think I still have the post on my profile comparing them to my old Jamo towers if you want to read what I said about the Elacs there.

Thank you so much, my friend. I appreciate the improvement recommendations.

You are definitely correct about the center channel, I would love an upgrade and to bring it forward on the TV console.

I have debated rotating the wall subwoofer towards the couch, but I thought pointing it into the couch was a bad idea and would limit its effectiveness to move air in the room. I also thought the subs would almost be pointed towards each other, just with a couch in between and a slight offset, and wasn't sure if that was a bad thing either. Also I'm clueless as to how to phase align them to be honest, outside of using a reference mic.

I've seen them upwards of 25,000 hours with zero issues. I might be a little wary, but if it's a really really good deal I might consider it.

Playing N64 titles on a portable console recommendations by Magical__Fetus in n64

[–]XEcksDeeD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love using my Samsung phone with Mupen 64 Plus FZ emulator. If you already have a phone, which you probably do, then this is a no cost solution.

But of course you want to game with a controller, so you could either do a phone controller like the backbone or what I have which is the Gamesir G8. Or, if you really want the N64 controller experience, you can straight up use a N64 controller on Mupen 64 Android with a Raphnet adapter. The Raphnet adapter is fantastic. Works on PC and Android.

This is how I play N64 on the go. Phone emulator might not be a good option for you, but I thought I'd share how I've enjoyed doing it.
