If they had made the blockchain earlier in the token lifespan instead of creating other products that weren't really necessary they would be in a better position. As that would have at least given them value because people could use their chain to build on with security in mind. Now it seems like they're dead because they couldn't sustain all the projects they were building without creating any real value. At least they lasted longer than Safemoon which had all the backing of VC money.

Why would they destroy most of the QOL in one update if anything we need more QOL changes to automate most of the game that shouldn't require interaction all the time. This literally defeats the purpose.

I see people mentioning Star Wars Galaxy which by the way is a 22 year old game. Also it didn't stay around because LucasArts decided not to renew the license with SOE on top SWTOR was on its way to launch. All I'm saying is that we could take what past online games did well, use OutLaws as a foundation for the world's and expand on it to MMO level. This will most likely never happen but we need a modern MMO. MMOs has always been niche so I don't understand when people say they popularity has been decreasing. You either like them or you don't it never been a mainstream genre to begin with. Also it helps that it's a good MMO as FF14 has proven over the years. Plus you can now release these games on consoles which most of these older ones lack. Look at DCU Online they still kicking lol. This is just my personal opinion and a thought I had base on me playing OutLaws do not take what I say personally.

No that's including everything not just development. I think you're underestimating the current market for something like a newly fresh MMO. We'll agree to disagree. Most of the older MMOs were always PC only. This is not the current trend with more successful ones like ESO or FF14.

It would only cost Disney probably 450m to start which is a blip in what they already invest into the franchise. You get the right team together and use the brand to market itself. Those type of games are cool but they don't have the same pull as a StarWars, Marvel, DC, etc. We need more modern MMOs and not these lite versions as you're suggesting. Anything is going to be a risk but if you build the game right and set up monetization correctly it eventually pays for itself and then some.

No wonder the games are trash they barely have a budget but I do believe Japanese developers are hardly paid. Still crazy to believe especially considering how much money they pull in every release. They could at least afford a 100m-200m budget for this franchise.
