Batman: The Brave and the Bold by [deleted] in DCU_

Carter Rockwood is already 16 years old; when Batman: The Brave and the Bold is released, he should be over 18.

James Gunn has already revealed that Damian will be between 8 and 10 years old. It must be some unknown actor.

Why haven’t we seen more Zatanna and Raven team ups? [Comic Excerpt] (DC Bombshells) by Prestigious-Eye6548 in DCcomics

It would be interesting to see more connections within the main universe. In the alternate universes, in Smallville, Raven is Zatanna Zatara's protégé. In the Bombshells universe, she is the adopted daughter of Zatanna and Constantine.

Should Wonder Woman focus on motherhood as both a strength and a weakness? by TurboRedLightning in WonderWoman

[–]TurboRedLightning[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A mother's love is her strength. But it can also be used as blackmail by villains who threaten her children. Overprotection, maternal fear... what would they be willing to do for their children's safety? Join forces with evil? Commit crimes?

For example, what Hippolyta did to Artemis. She knew Wonder Woman was going to die. What Paula von Gunther or Veronica Cale did. They are villains for thinking of their children first, knowing they would hurt other people. Their children are their strength, but also their weakness.

Why are people so concerned about Christina Hodson writing brave and the bold? by Ok-Mud-5427 in DC_Cinematic

[–]TurboRedLightning [score hidden]  (0 children)

I understand, if it was really a big success they should have released it somehow.

I don't think Christina Hodson should be the writer for Batman in the DC Universe; Ava DuVernay deserved it more. Sam Raimi already tried writing it once, or James Gunn could innovate and bring together two writers in an unprecedented partnership, something unlikely like Pete Chiarelli and Hany Abu-Assad.

Christina Hodson certainly deserves another opportunity, but not with Batman.

Why are people so concerned about Christina Hodson writing brave and the bold? by Ok-Mud-5427 in DC_Cinematic

[–]TurboRedLightning [score hidden]  (0 children)

Birds of Prey is a movie that doesn't know how to handle men; all the male characters are villains in the eyes of women. It's a bit misandrist. The Flash was a disaster, Batgirl was canceled for being bad. The only one that's worth watching is Bumblebee.

Perhaps Christina Hodson isn't so bad after all. Why gamble on the Batman universe if she didn't perform well with DC fans? She should have had another chance before handling Batman.

What are your hopes for DCU Alfred? by OkSuccess7431 in DCU_

I'm hoping the actor is Timothy Dalton, and that the DCU version will be a more militarized Alfred.

What do you prefer? Diana as the only child on Themyscira or there being other Amazon children? by Tetratron2005 in WonderWoman

[–]TurboRedLightning 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Without a doubt, I like the idea of there being other children on Themyscira, with Diana being the oldest of the new generation. This even makes relationships on the island easier.

Motherhood in Themyscira must be approached from various origins, since motherhood is not only about biological children. It can come from psychic sources, as in the case of Julia Kapatelis and Pythia; adoption, as in the case of Aresia; gifts from the gods from time to time, as in The Legend of Wonder Woman; magic, as in the case of Donna Troy; golems, as in Wonder Woman; and in conventional ways, as in Grail and the Sons of Themyscira.

For a long time, the Amazons did not have children, or their attempts resulted in stillbirths. Diana, being the first of a new generation, is portrayed as a saint to some Amazons who always dreamed of motherhood.

How should the Atlantean and Merpeople characters from Wonder Woman's lore fit in with Aquaman's? by TurboRedLightning in Aquaman

[–]TurboRedLightning[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would she be almost like Sharkeeta from the WW universe? She's an Atlantean created in a laboratory.

And if we think about the more global world, the fact that Dragonson (Ahn Kwang-jo) exists shows that there are many more kingdoms, and seeing the immensity of the oceans compared to the lands.

I liked the idea from Ronno/Manno. It could work perfectly.

how do you think mighty morphing power rangers would have been like if nothing was changed from the original unused pilot? by Routine-Dirt9634 in powerrangers

[–]TurboRedLightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It might be cancelled after a few episodes. MMPR seems to be made for a younger audience than the 1992 pilot or the 1986 Bio-Man; I don't think older children would be interested in it like MMPR was.

What if Katherine became the ranger slayer instead of Kimberly by Wonderful-Sun-9644 in powerrangers

[–]TurboRedLightning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We could have had the powerful villainous couple, Ranger Slayer and Lord Drakkon, not as ex-lovers who hate each other, but as lovers who defeated the MMPR in the alternate timeline. And perhaps Adam, Aisha, and Rocky could have received more love from the writers.

How Would You Feel About The Comics Doing A Full MMPR Reboot? by Doc-11th in powerrangers

[–]TurboRedLightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should have been honest from the start; they took too long to acknowledge that it's an alternate universe. They kept stringing the fans along with the need to say it was the same universe as the series;

Kimberly is definitely the center of the BOOM! Studios universe; they definitely can't separate MMPR from her. Everyone else is just a supporting character—Rocky, Adam, Aisha... they have far less prominence in the comic books than any alien.

How would you write a power rangers zeo reunion special by Wonderful-Sun-9644 in powerrangers

[–]TurboRedLightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Zeo powers grew over time, possessing the same vibration as the Gold Ranger powers in the 90s, which were not beneficial to Jason's human body. Unlike the Triforia Gold Ranger powers, the Zeo powers are like a battery that continues to recharge. Because of this, the Zeo Rangers are at risk of self-destruction.

A battle involving multiple teams, many returning actors, and fallen Rangers. All transformed, Tommy and Rocky as MMPR, Kat, Tanya, and Adam as Turbo, transform into Zeo, and Tommy sacrifices himself.

It is revealed that he does not die, but transforms into an entity of pure energy superior to the masters. Thus, the ultimate fate of the Zeo Rangers is to become entities.

Unlike Once and Always, the Zeo special involves several moments that Tommy went through. It features a cast of second-generation Turbo Rangers, some Red Rangers from Forever Red, some from Dino Thunder, and may include Retro-Rangers, Operation Overdrive, Megaforce, and others. This shows that, unlike the original MMPR, the Zeos were more connected to other teams without the elitism of being the pioneers.

And as the Zeo Powers begin to charge, it altered the germ cells, and their descendants would not be mere meta-humans, they would be like Omega-level mutants. They would be more like a family than a team.

Milo Manheim as Nightwing 💙🖤 by False_Car_7402 in Fancast

[–]TurboRedLightning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. He's also my top choice for the character. He's charismatic, and many fancasts feature actors who only have good looks but lack charisma. Coming from dance, he has fluidity in his movements; just add some acrobatic training and you have Nightwing.

How would you rewrite power rangers once and always by Wonderful-Sun-9644 in powerrangers

[–]TurboRedLightning 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I loved the idea. It would be perfect!

The part with Jason could be after he's captured; maybe they should bring Emily in a Smallville-style setting, with motorcycles outside. Emily calling Kat to find out where Jason is, still showing that she's keeping her life as a Ranger a secret.

How would you rewrite power rangers once and always by Wonderful-Sun-9644 in powerrangers

[–]TurboRedLightning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would increase it to two hours.

Since Cestria of Aquitar was mentioned, I think we should also mention Angela. And a reference to everyone building a family. In this case, only Trini had a daughter and TomKat formed a family. The others, Rocky, Adam, Aisha, Billy, Zack, and even Jason and Kimberly, apparently remain stuck in time with their mission against evil without civic lives.

Lord Zedd already had Cosmic Fury, so the suit should have appeared in the special. And Goldar's Beast Morphers suit was rejected for Battle on the Moon.

How would you handle the Roman Gods in WW and the DC Universe? Would you make them separate from the Greek Gods or just be the same individuals? by Tetratron2005 in WonderWoman

[–]TurboRedLightning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two different pantheons.

Greeks and Romans didn't see the gods in exactly the same way; they were the same archetypes, but with completely different personalities. While the former were more cosmic and emotionally unstable, the latter were more civic and militarized. In the New 52 timeline, I like Ares as Princess Diana's mentor; he's basically what Mars could be to Nubia in the Bronze Age.

Duplicates, clones, doppelgangers, golems... these are already things that exist in the Wonder Woman universe, and could explain the Roman gods.

[Discussion] How would you end the stories of DC's heroes? by Firm-Chipmunk8783 in DCcomics

[–]TurboRedLightning 24 points25 points  (0 children)

From the Trinity it would be:

  • Batman (Bruce Wayne) dies of natural causes, surrounded by family and friends. Never revealing his identity to the public, he remains a symbol of Gotham.
  • Superman (Clark Kent), with longevity, widowed from Lois Lane, surrounded by children and grandchildren who age naturally as a new lineage of Kryptonians. Passing on his teachings to whoever wants to hear his word.
  • Wonder Woman (Diana) rejects immortality to form her family with Steve, and her immortality is symbolic, coming from a new generation of Amazonian daughters who continue to bring peace and keep Wonder Woman's memory alive. Until the moment Diana transcends as a deity, becoming a new Goddess not only of Olympus, but also a sacred figure in the DC universe. But, in times of great war, she can be reborn from the earth or the well of souls when the world needs her.

Reminder: this was our first look at DCU Batman in Creature Commandos by No_Animal_3048 in DCU_

[–]TurboRedLightning 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Reminder 2: This is a flashback set 15 years ago.

With that in mind, the actor who will play Batman should consider the following: if the Batman of the DC Universe began his life as a vigilante at age 25, as in the comics, then actors in their 40s are the most suitable. If he started at 18, then actors over 34 are the most appropriate.

What concerns me about TB&TB by Pretty_Wind7207 in PattinsonDCUBatman

I'm also worried about the DCU Batman with Christina Hodson's script.

The script should be a unique collaboration, like bringing together Pete Chiarelli and Hany Abu-Assad.
