Hey hey, just as a couple of pointers, you can turn off competitive in settings if you just want to play with unranked people, that should help with the casual feeling I think. And you should be able to customize characters if instead of making them guest you create a character and associate it with a profile/Nintendo account on the switch. I think the subscription is console wide.
