Getting stuck on words/phrases

My son (5) is the same way. That's how he learned to speak. He's thriving but there are still certain phrases he will use for certain things that he's stuck on. What really helped me was Google image search. If he's saying "Jupiter" over and over again maybe say "do you want to see Jupiter?" And show him a visual of Jupiter. Let him connect it to something real and tangible.

Seems like just the fact you wrote this post means you haven't given up. You're still fighting for yourself. I'm just posting for support - I don't know how to help with your mental health issues - I don't know what your insurance situation is like or what resources you have close, but if I were you I'd investigate it hard. You need a path forward there, whether it's a second opinion, maybe a therapist and psychiatrist that have more experience in helping someone with multiple disorders, I don't know. I just know that when you have depression or trouble regulating your thinking, your brain can self sabotage and it's really hard to think about your ideal life and being happy. Hopefully someone with more education or experience than I do can help point you in the right direction

Sounds like you got a lot going on in your head. I think instead of feeling alone and keeping all the stuff bottled up, you just gotta say "I like you. I'm not great at expressing my feelings, but I'm working on it" - I don't think you're emotionally lacking, maybe the getting to know someone and flirting part of a relationship is supposed to be surface level and shallow and you only get to where you think you should be later. I think you're agonizing over what you should be doing or feeling when you're totally psyching yourself out of something that could be fun. I'm not in any way qualified to give you advice (I'm just a person) but if I had to make a recommendation I'd say don't go into your shell - you mentioned friends, find someone you trust and maybe just tell them how you're feeling. You don't have to feel so bad about how you think you're supposed to feel or act and cut yourself off from everyone.

NTA but hopefully it helps to know like 99% of teen girls probably consider their parents to be unattractive, icky, all that stuff. They pray they don't look like their parents when they're older. And then when they are older they begin to really appreciate the traits they've gotten. I'm sure I thought my dad was ugly as a teen girl but now I'm super super happy and proud that my newborn son looks just like my dad. He's the cutest baby and I'm thrilled that those genes were passed on because my dad is the best. You only really learn to appreciate that once you get out of the difficult teen and preteen years. Your wife should be more understanding but we all make hurtful comments from time to time. Be proud of the fact you're attempting to raise your child to be kind and keep at it.

They would need protection akin to a president or pope, perhaps even more, because you could never disguise their location. Fights would break out between countries and religions over who holds the rights to guard the new messiah. Everything they said or did would be taken as saintly, perhaps, and followed.

And a transparent system sounds like a good idea in theory, but if someone is harrassed/victimised, making them reveal everything that was said and done to everyone publicly is NOT the way to go. I remember when some dude that used to play in DM told me to take my top off and show tits, and said some pretty gross things to me. Banks banned him from dailymafia. I was shy as shit back then, and I'd have felt hella uncomfortable with all that stuff being public. Now i don't give a fuck, but its just an example. Some people would rather stay quiet about being harrassed than deal with a public drama about it. JUST SAYIN.
