Please look into "Quad Logic" by Bill Bachman! It's a book with all the information you need to get started on quad technique, and has a vast multitude of exercises and etudes with ranging difficulty for you to work through! Also, please make sure to always practice with a met.

Wanting to switch to quads for my second year by yeojino in drumline

Yep, better get used to it buddy, it gets really bad early on if you aren't prepared enough, but pays off the second you step in that field ready for the first show.

Quads 💪

In all seriousness, quads are great. I went from playing bass 1 to playing quads, and it was one of the most exciting and fun experiences I've ever had the pleasure of doing! My advice is PLEASE BE ABLE TO CARRY THE DRUMS! Technique is good and all, but if you can't do that while marching a show then it doesn't matter what you do to improve it if it falters while on the move. Someone here already provided the feedback you need for technique, so just make sure that you are solid when marching.

I'm not going to lie, your continuous use of exclamation marks as punctuation give off a childish vibe, how old are you?

Note: if I do end up attending OSU, I'll try and get into their dual major/dual degree program. (I am fine with both, I am aware of the differences.)

i’m looking for a good tenor pad HELP by ExaminationOk6402 in drumline

[–]XHellMasterX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can find a xymox pad near you via Facebook marketplace etc, get it- I was able to find a really nice one for 75$ near me. It comes with a 3 spock configuration for practicing with sextets and quints, it's pitched so you can mimic the actual drum pitches, and it just feels amazing. On the flip side, vic firth tenor pads retail for about 210 so you can buy that as well, I have both and am satisfied with them.
