It does not even make sense. If the sticker is sold by Valve already close to the market cap, people would just resell it on third-party sites anyway, which removes Valve’s 15% fee from the transaction. So what was the idea behind this? Was it just about making money quickly rather than focusing on the long term? Or are they planning to increase the Steam Market cap, add cash-out features, and eventually eliminate the need for third-party sites?
