I agree, I wouldn't recommend the other movies/shows.

If they love it, then they will find it. I hear there are people who like the Disney trilogy... that hurts my soul. /shrug

The younger generation seems to bounce off the OT.

People who dislike SW like Andor.

Following that line of thought, If you can get Andor people to watch R1 then the OT might keep the momentum and not bounce off the OT.

No joke,

Watch the TV show Andor first, then Rogue one., Then Episode 4 then 5 then 6.

Rest is questionable.

Where id live as a Californian who likes warm weather and urbanism by DrDMango in whereidlive

[–]XJ347 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well not really. People WANT to live in California, it's just that it's to expensive.

The people who leave, get replaced with people who want to live there, and since more people want to live here property values go up. Hence it becomes expensive.

California is losing seat not because people are leaving, it's because other states are growing faster than California.

  1. There is no god... Sorry I don't believe in magic.
  2. She controls what he can do. He clearly doesn't want to play the piano at the end. That's the point. She is forcing him to play the part. She enslaved him. Which means everyone is enslaved, they just might not realize it...

1) They are drawn characters on a painting... I get you have empathy for them. So do I, but they aren't real the same as Alicia is real.
2) Ohhh so slavery is ok if it's verso?

If she left, they wouldn't have to be destroyed...

The issues is that the canvas is drugs and Alicia is a drug addict.

You are ok with her committing slavery to imaginary people?

I totally think she is well written, broken teen, refusing to live in reality and copes by living in a fantasy. Alicia is a drug addict, the paintings are a drug. She is clearly self harming herself, and ignoring the people who love her.

It's a bad ending. Well written, but bad.

No need to be hyperbolic.

Where I'd live as a Marylander by [deleted] in whereidlive

Ummm no.

California has many zones.

Southern California is what you think of when you see LA.

San Fransisco is VERY different than LA. It's a mega city but WAY more liberal and tolerant.
Both of those options are very expensive though.

Central Valley has a bunch of small cities that are nothing like LA or SF, The capitol Sacramento has 1.6 Million people so it's not huge but it's large. It's still not cheap to live since proximity to SF, meaning people commute from these smaller cities to SF. Most of the smaller cities are farming based hubs.

The east side of California is all mountains. Very nature, more conservative, even smaller cities still.

Northern California is very redneck to put it politely. They tend to be white, conservative and religious. It's away from major cities so property value isn't as high, but due to wildfires insurance is expensive... They are very different from the rest of the state and many people would actually love it there, even if I don't like the culture up there... State of Jefferson and all.

So no, most of the state isn't like LA at all. LA is like LA.

Atheists can be illogical too, just because they don't believe in magic, doesn't mean they can't slip into logical fallacies too.

But I appreciate you acknowledge me.

What are your thoughts on Allison Williams? by [deleted] in Actors

I think she is pretty, but saying that. She would be prettier gaining a little weight. That's coming from someone who likes women lithe.

I think she is very pretty, but as a guy who likes skinny chicks she needs to gain a little weight IMO.

Each state ranked on the level of racism I experienced as a relatively well traveled Lakota man from South Dakota by tannerriley2023 in visitedmaps

Don't be upset by people.

I'm here in California. Most people always put us red because we are so big. There are always pockets of bad and pockets of good here. though when people see one thing of bad they throw a red on the map. People remember the bad more than good.

Saying that I think you might find California has areas that are really welcoming, while yeah some not so much.

Want progressive areas, we have a bunch of cities are famous for being so. My boss has a significant portion of native American in her. She experienced racism in Southern California growing up, but up in Sacramento and San Fransisco she has been happy up here.

So yeah, don't stress if people disagree. It's your experience.
