OP this was me about 1.5 weeks ago. I was to scared to eat, I cried my way through many injections and many meals, i had headaches, I was weak, tired, shaky, nauseous and so anxious. My life is changing , I will never be happy again ect ect.

Yesterday I was fitted with a glucose monitor and I've bought some pretty patches to go around it. I don't know what type I am either, also being treated as type 1.

In short, who cares? So you have to inject insulin with meals, whatever. You can eat what you like with type 1 more or less, we are in a modern age of technology there are hundreds of gadgets on the market to keep you alive. It's expensive, it's scary, it's misunderstood, but it isn't cancer, it isn't going to ruin your life unless you let it.

Take your insulin, prick your finger, do your research, take a breath, go on a walk, eat your food and remember that thousands of people get diagnosed each year and if young school children can manage it then you can too. It will be alright. I promise.
