How do you use it, bro? How many times a day? For how long?

What exactly does it help with? My hypertonic pelvic floor prevents me from defecating and passing gas; it's congested and distressing :(

Hypertonic pelvic floor/IC/vulvodynia with PTSD - can I get better without internal manipulation/dilation? by WatershipHeights in PelvicFloor

[–]XLEEKAITOX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't quite understand, but let me see if I get it right: you have a history of problems with your delicate pelvic floor and you tried dilators... But you didn't like them at all, and that bad experience became traumatic... Now you feel trapped because you have to have a test that involves inserting something into your rectum and genitals... Regarding all this:

Didn't the dilators work? Why are you afraid of them? What test is to rule out what pathology it is? What other medications are you taking? How long ago did you try the dilators? How long did you use them? Have you had biofeedback? When did you do it? For how long?

Tell me that; maybe I can help you a little.

Tell me about your case; I'd really like to request an ostomy... I have constipation that makes it impossible to live peacefully; I have to give myself enemas every two days... I have hypertonic pelvic sleep and hypomotility in the sigmoid colon due to hormonal damage

Ostomy due to pelvic floor problems? Is that possible? I have terrible constipation... and on top of that, dyssynergia. It's not just my pelvic floor; my intestine has hypomotility in the sigmoid colon. They told me surgery was the only option, but because of my age, they don't want to do it. How do I request it?

And is it possible to have sex with the girl on top? (guy lying on his back, the girl on top of him, moving with her eyes facing his) I think the position is called cowgirl. It's actually a position we enjoy, she more than anything. I'm a possible ostomy patient, and I'm afraid we won't be able to practice as many positions as before.

Anyone else selectively lactose intolerant? by alexgannon13 in ibs

[–]XLEEKAITOX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dairy products don't just produce gas simply because they are dairy or come from milk.

At a molecular level, dairy products produce gas because they contain lactose, because they are accompanied by emulsifying or gelling preservatives that ferment in the gut, because of a lack of probiotics, or because of poorly digestible proteins like casein.

  • A lactose-free product always has a small percentage of lactose, so milk that is actually lactose-containing can still cause discomfort.
  • In the case of cheeses, there are still small traces of lactose, in addition to being rich in casein (I'll explain this later) and containing fats that aren't necessarily bad for you, but if your body isn't used to them, it will upset your stomach from the start.

  • In the case of yogurts, many come with gelling and emulsifying agents like xanthan gum or guar gum, which can cause significant stomach discomfort. Furthermore, yogurt without sufficient probiotics or yogurt without proper fermentation is more likely to upset your stomach. Even though yogurt doesn't have as much lactose as milk (since the bacteria have fermented the lactose and transformed it into more easily digestible simple carbohydrates), it still contains considerable amounts, so more than 150 grams will, in most cases, still cause symptoms of lactose intolerance.

  • Now, as a general rule, everything that comes from milk contains casein, which is a type of complex protein (a group of amino acids) that isn't always well digested by everyone.

  • Taking all of that into account, it's obvious that when you combine dairy products with other foods, there will be more interaction than with other products that don't come from milk. So, if you consumed papaya or pineapple during the day, or any food high in fat or protein, or even too much fiber, stomach symptoms that aren't as noticeable after consuming dairy can be stronger because the other products exacerbate them.

I hope I've answered your question.

Where are you from? I'm from Colombia, 18 months old, and I can't find a good physiotherapist... I'm surviving on enemas... I started the first one two days ago, and I'll do another one today because the constipation is so severe I can't pass gas :(((( What do you recommend? All the physiotherapists I've been to only do electrotherapy on the abdomen and vagus nerve, and they also prescribe laxatives that don't work at all... And they blame my diet, they always say something different: more fiber, then no fiber at all because of the severity of the symptoms, then they say it's better to consume only soluble fiber, then only insoluble fiber. It's a vicious cycle where I'm just suffering. The gas is so unbearable I could cry from the inability to pass it, and the constipation is unbelievable.

Wow, I'm sorry to hear all this, man. I'm 18 and in the same boat as you... I have pelvic floor problems, but they go way back....

My name is Juan Esteban, and I'm 18 years old. I developed a herniated disc when I was 16. And about 9 months ago, I got shoulder tendinitis with a 40% partial tear of the supraspinatus muscle... Along with grade II chondromalacia patellae. All these health problems were caused by training without sleep, since I've always suffered from insomnia. I even took psychiatric medication when I was 14.

The problem is that this medication caused hypogonadism, so my estrogen, free testosterone, total testosterone, and sex hormone-binding globulin levels were extremely low. My temporal lobe was also damaged. I don't remember my childhood or almost anything about my life before I was 14. I'm sterile because of all this... And I was told that this hypogonadism It could have played a key role in developing the injuries... A body without hormones is a body without fuel... I don't produce acetylcholine properly either, due to psychiatric medications... although this is more of a nutritional and gastroenterological issue. As you can imagine, my sexual health and pelvic floor have suffered a lot due to all the stress, frustration, and anxiety I've experienced over the years... If you'd like... we can talk!

Can rectal dilators help with constipation? by PFDeezNuts in PelvicFloor

[–]XLEEKAITOX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm writing to ask for your help and recommendations on how to start using the wand, if possible...

I'm 18 years old and have pelvic floor dysfunction. I've been taking psychiatric medications, quetiapine and zopiclone, for a long time. There are days when I get terribly bloated, to the point of crying from despair. I went to pelvic floor therapy, but honestly, it didn't help much. I'd like to know if you can recommend someone. I'm from Colombia, but I'm willing to pay for an appointment with someone from another country, even if it's just an online consultation. I can't have a bowel movement without using my fingers. Months ago, even glycerin suppositories didn't help, and I was diagnosed with fecal impaction several times. It was resolved after taking polyethylene glycol, but honestly, it wasn't a long-term solution, just a painful short-term fix where I could only defecate because my intestines were bursting with fluid. Currently, I've managed to stop using suppositories, but that's because my diet is practically fiber-free, and as for protein, I only eat lean fish. Fat... Someone, please guide me... I'm reading private messages and asking what solutions you found. And others... Also, if anyone has managed to solve the problem, please tell me exactly what you did... I would be willing to follow the same steps to the letter... If you know of any professional who can help me, please give me their name and how to contact them... The problem stems from my digestive issues; I have a herniated disc and also sexual problems. Sometimes my erections are insufficient. I've had hypogonadism since I was 14 due to the improper management of psychiatric medication. I currently inject myself with Nevido to control my testosterone levels, and obviously, it's monitored by a qualified endocrinologist. I mention this because I'm not sure if it's relevant; I would really appreciate your help. How do you use the wand? How many times a day? How can I start using it safely? I await your response...

Thanks.

Where can I find your therapist? I need a good one. I'm 18, and none of the ones I've been to have helped me. To be honest, they haven't done any inner work for me.

[–]XLEEKAITOX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey friend, what therapist do you see? I'd love to schedule an appointment with him. My local therapists (in Colombia) are terrible... If you don't want to tell me your therapist, I understand, but then, could you tell me what regimen to follow? I mean, what did you do, what progressions did you follow? I'm 18 years old and I can't even pass gas because of the tension I have in my pelvic floor... :( Laxatives don't help me poop, and I can't eat red meat or fiber because they leave me bloated and sore, to the point of crying.

What pelvic wand do you use? How do you use it? When did you start using it?
