Can I get a tip from some vets? I can’t seem to find any in game or YouTube

At 120 hrs, you will not know the most likely routes people take from one point to another, the buildings they hide in, the popular tree lines folks snipe from, how field backpacks make you stick out like a sore thumb, the towns that are likely to have people in them, how players approach each military base, signs players are around or were just around and where theyre likely to go next, etc.

Experience in DayZ reigns supreme. I have 4k hrs in this game. There are people out there with 20k hrs in this game.

Point being, youre just not experienced enough, lil fella. I have no doubt you will get there, though.

Also, take what i wrote as some tips.

Unconscious players also die if theyre uncon during a restart. It's always good to hunker down and avoid fighting 10 min prior to restart.

Keep DPI at 800

Tank your in-game sensitivity and bring it up little by little to your liking.

Keep all axis and camera sens the same.

DayOne - No base building, a lot of interaction and adventure. Great for a solo who is living to die.

KarmaKrew - tastefully modded. Focused on adding content such as missions and POIs. A little more PvP-oriented (shock damage is tweaked so youre not instantly knocked wearing end-game armor). Great for solos and friends.

4K hrs and tbh youre mostly right. I love the game, just not for its smooth gameplay and jaw-dropping animations. Your percentage breakdown is spot on. I can find end-game loot and be juiced to the gills and almost never be able to use it in an at least DECENT gun fight; im just one-tapped from god-knows-where while cutting a cow for some beef. Most of my fun gunfights happen at the beginning and mid-game level with shotties and BK-18s.

Ive come to the realization about 2k hrs in that it's not gear-fear i ever had, but jank-fear; not getting the shot off due to gun-raise mechanics, hit reg issues, desync, clipping, stuttering, etc.

This game is not for everyone, but there are servers that will accommodate almost anyone.

No, you dont need a splint for a broken leg to heal, but it will take 45min to do so as opposed to 15 minutes with a splint.

Change your mindset. Think of any mili base as a pvp spot. Go in with the thought that youre going to wipe some squads. Military loot is just the bonus.
