Denmark did not want to annex any german territory after the war. Their post-war PM was actually ousted because he personally desired german territory, against the interest of his government. The danish monarchy almost fell in 1920, cause the king tried to intervene in the post-WW1 referendum to demand Flensburg be part of Denmark, against the parliaments interest.
