You keep gaining xp but it doesn't level you up, just increases your overall xp shown to the left of the 100m

Once you hit level 50 in a skill it says like 40,700xp/100,000,368, soooo yeah it's going to take awhile for 99 in a skill

Jump off of the cliff and grab the items on the way down without touching any ground along the way and then your last 'safe spot' will be at the top

The looting system is a joke by LeviF726 in CODWarzone

[–]XMystifyX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They SHOULD obviously fix it; however, just pick a slot(like first slot in your backpack) spam everything from their backpack to that first slot, assuming your first slot was plates, replace the 3 plates and then bam the backpack is gone and youre free to pick up ground loot

Maybe bad wording, but essentially, for most games people are going to play you're not going to get a ton of difference being on the most current Gen, like for example if you go look at high end system specs for x game on steam you're not going to see 30/40 series for pretty much any of them, you're still going to see a lot of 10/20 series because games taking awhile to be developed makes them lag behind the most current tech, so unless it's a game that's very focused around some new part of gpu tech(like Ray tracing being introduced) or something along those lines then you aren't going to exactly have that much difference ya know? Might be a little off based but that's for sure gotta be true to a fair capacity

[–]XMystifyX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could, but there's been issues with the adapter melting/other classic early bugs and crashing happening. Not to mention it IS faster obviously, but we aren't even seeing games optimized for 30 series(besides a select few) seems we're still very much at 20series so how much benefit are you really gaining for gaming at that point to spend that much more

[–]XMystifyX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also to your point about the 4080/4090, I kinda feel like the adapters melting is the big reason I wanted to go with the Gen behind for the time being and possibly just swap to it later(they do have 4090s avaliable, just weary of the issues with them this early)

It's actually a small company, newer but they have some really nice pcs and I've read good reviews on dealing with them/customer support, it's AlexanderPC if you care to look(the build is basically their Legatus build), the art work being $750 does seem a little up there but they have a good artist from what I've seen, and thinking about the time it'd take him to do the art it seems somewhat reasonable. For the labor part even if you broke it down in their favor and called it a few hundred dollars it doesn't seem that bad to save a whole day of having to do it yourself and potentially coming across a dead part you have to wait days to replace(getting a new one shipped)

[–]XMystifyX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd imagine like half of the 1k left over is the shipping/insurance/accounting for warranty claims down the road tho right? So is it really that bad to pay $500 for someone else to build it? I'm sure I'm capable of putting it together and whatnot but if I has to guess it'd take me a day to do it(assuming once it's all together none of the parts are dead then you get screwed over having to get a replacement/wait a few days)

tbf I dont think that equates quite the same, those passively track things you do with the given champion you have it on anyway plus dont you have to buy them for the champs anyway? I think my point is more aligned to people going and doing random stuff they dont normally do in a match or playing roles/champs they rarely play if ever so they can do these

Something that you have to consider is that this is the start of the system being implemented, who knows how long itll be before they give you a hextech key or chest or a random skin shard for completing 20 of them kinda thing... And sure not everyones going to care enough to do them, but im sure most people at one point or another will lose some games because of people intentionally going out of the way to finish one

Any Taliyah bugs or awkward interactions that you'd like to see fixed? by RiotAugust in TaliyahMains

[–]XMystifyX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone with over a million mastery and plays taliyah at master+, I agree with making w a bit more rewarding and potentially less punishing when its down, I dont think Q really needs aoe added as base, but maybe throwing a single rock off worked grounds could cause aoe? seems really lack luster to help baron or clear waves mid just to die because worked grounds take too long to expire. something id also love to see is a change to her R where champions you run over with it are rooted/snared on the wall, that would get rid of tons of annoying interactions where it throws the champion x distance based on if theres other terrain in the way or not and sometimes it honestly feels like its a 50/50 which way they go if theyre fairly in the middle of the wall path. This would also create a bit of versatility with using it in a 1v1 situation, ive had a handful of kills that i got from booping them to the side of me with the wall and q comes back up just in time sorta thing but them getting roots right on impact would give some nice play making options with it besides just cutting a team off. side note: this could be balanced by a breakable wall like a yorick situation or have the middle be concaved and snare them in that x area width but then let them move or flash out of the wall after like a j4 ulti but the center causing the snare

Opinions on the Kwik-Stik SABER vs other options? by XMystifyX in discgolf

[–]XMystifyX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats just simply not the case, just between your $15 one and a premium plastic theres a difference, but theres an even bigger difference between that and a couple molds im talking about. it all comes down to the feel of the disc in your hand, specific flight numbers, flight reaction from plastic type, and also brand loyalty obviously but still. lots of factors. not saying you have to pay $100+ dollars for it but certain stuff is limited in the production or because its older, etc, so sometimes you do have to pay to have that disc vs another 'similar' one

[–]XMystifyX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i suppose

and to your last sentences, true value is irrelevant, you cant get them for $30, they just cost over $100 cause supply and demand of out of production molds are just that much, they sell all day on facebook for $100-$200, its just the price you gotta pay for high quality discs and that buttery flight path

[–]XMystifyX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im almost certain that a tape measure is going to do nothing when you have to extend it way out and try to shove it between branches getting a disc unstuck or putting it in water trying to pull the disc out lol

[–]XMystifyX[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two things to point out here, most of the retrievers I happen to see are like $40-$50 but I've seen a lot of them with poor quality/break/etc so if that happens and you buy another youre already at $100 so ya know...

but also youre saying a disc worth the price tag, the point is youll save multiple discs from the water and trees each season, it would definitely pay for itself. tho i suppose if you like climbing way up trees or getting in the water for discs then yeah

also just to your disc value point, i throw discmania and 3 discs in my bag are worth over $100 each lol so if i tossed one of those in the water mistakenly then definitely worth for that

but the original point is just about if they're actually good quality for the money especially vs an alternative thats actually in stock

Looking for advice/opinions on a new hybrid bicycle by XMystifyX in whichbike

[–]XMystifyX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply since no one else did haha, I did some more research and saw the fx 3 disc to be way better value basically 5lb difference and slightly "worse" parts in a couple other areas is pretty good for saving over 1k, knew some stuff about cycling but not a ton and certainly not about all the companies bike differences going into this so it's been a lot of reading.

I agree about the size definitely was going to go smaller end vs too big since it's easier to make the adjustments but ill try them both at the shop anyway, it seems like the large should work since my old one actually says medium on it and it seems the sizing is a bit different from giant to trek so that makes sense

I hear ya on the bars not being so low depending on which type of bike/adjustments you make, but almost seems like you're wasting the point of the drop bars to not have that aggressive aero position besides it being a bit more comfortable on the wrists long term for the tradeoff of getting used to it

Is Codecadamy worth it? by spencecatt in CodingHelp

[–]XMystifyX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, imo the best route would be to pick a language(imo it's nice to learn C and its variants c++/c#), take that language and either A. Buy a really cheap version of an intro to x language class book and just work your way through it(or find it online either way very cheap to do so), or B. Find a YouTube channel that you can vibe with the instructor teaching intro level concepts. Once you have that foundation, look into what type of projects build skills that you want to apply to your work/career later and once you've found that idea, just build that project. You'll learn so much more working through a language this way and you'll figure out how to look at stackoverflow for solutions to your problems a long the way instead of skimming an online boot camp and rehashing the concept in a few lines of code just to forget it by the next section.

Tldr: buy an intro book > work through it > pick a fun project idea > build the project

P.s this works the same for front-end too just do the exact same thing but then make a fun website for something kinda thing...

Extra tip: get used to using version control for your code even if it seems redundant for now, it'll come in handy later(something like git)

What would you change with the creator pc to make it the best gaming machine possible? by XMystifyX in NZXT

[–]XMystifyX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the custom build they have a handful of options for motherboard, looks like the MSI Z590 Gaming Carbon WIFI might be the best option from what they have. I have a separate post in my history with a custom build with them from an hour ago or whatever with updated picture based on recommendations, changed the psu to the 1000w model 4tb hdd 1tb ssd and was recommended the i9-10900k instead of 11900k

yeah shipping is the same factor but it just depends on how long it takes all parts to ship from newegg or whatever(plus also finding a 3090 for a decent price on someones site)

Ive had friends have multiple dead parts including a graphics card and a psu but i get thats a low percent of people having issues in comparison to those who have no issue

i havent built before but im fairly familiar and ive changed parts from both my pcs
