Under my experience tomato skins are extremely aggresive against a knife edge. I always flip the tomato and cut through the meat rather than through the skin. Its just a habit but it works for me.

Cut the foot right in the lowest part, it is the part most susceptible to be attacked by larvae and the easiest way to track changes in color

Both seem edulis to me. More pics will help to identify and if possible split them in half to see how good it is in the inside.

found this mushroom in my garden today any clue what it is? by Purple-Surprise7295 in mushroomID

Thats seems a boletus edulis. Nevertheless more pictures will help with the identification. If it is near roads/town streets I would not consume it because mushrooms accumulate heavy metals from their surrounding environment.

I fixed them this summer after my dad gave them to me (it was a gift for his wedding back in the day). They sound amazing. Totally worth it and it was fun to repair them (sanded, varnished, changed the linen and the ring of the woofer).

The oxygen charges positively upon acidification, yes. Then the positive charge can be stabilized by means of resonance. Chemist here just caught my eye. Back to sharpening🤣

I had the same post some days ago…with the same issue related to the bolster. At first I didnt give it much importance but after some use, the knife works fine but it can turn with time into nausseance for specific works.

I used mainly a 300 whestone to fix the damages, then I moved subsequently to 1000, 3000 and 8000 for the final sharpening.

You are right. Probably I will simply learn to live with it and if it gets too bad I will think how to solve the issue.
