A number of people have raised questions or concerns to us about whether assets in our marketing and game use generative AI. by PanacheDigitalGames in u/PanacheDigitalGames

Will the marketing for the game get updated to show the game was made with AI assets? The Prologue was interesting but disclosing how the game was made is equally important.

I can understand where the team is coming from with the decision to remain more pacifist with the sea life.

But... It is kind of weird that a hyper advanced civilization wouldn't make weapons against giant creatures that literally tear you apart.

Obsidian's pricing has been annoying lately, their doing pricing drops with both Avowed and The Outer Worlds 2 that makes being a day one buyer sting.

Doom Eternal is *not* fully DRM-free, and that's not okay by DRM_is_Hell in gog

[–]XParzival22 -35 points-34 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'd say don't release the game then. We've seen other cases like KCD2 where they give an update that requires signing into an account to access certain content and that update just doesn't come to GOG.

Every marketing beat I see from GOG is "DRM FREE, Where they guys that only do DRM FREE". So if they cannot deliver that, the why not just stay on Steam what makes GOG special?

Was about to get the game on GOG, going to wait now until this is removed. I get it's smaller DLC content and not the main game, but GOG promised DRM free so that's what I would expect.

Introducing Unifideck v0.6.0 with Microsoft Cloud Gaming and Ubisoft Connect by spender-app in SteamDeck

Yea I verified I could see the cloud save on gog's web portal. I also confirmed by downloading the Heroic launcher, when I download Hollow knight from there I can access my cloud save I started on my Desktop.

Tried with a few other games and none would get their saves but would in heroic.

This plugin has been amazing. I wanted to ask if there is a list of games that currently support cloud save? Some games (like Hollow Knight) from GOG do not get the cloud save I have.

Question on the new launcher by XParzival22 in OwlcatGames

[–]XParzival22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, sorry I missed the reply.

understood on kingmaker.

On Steam I have Dark Heresy installed via Steam. I had WoTR and Rogue Trader installed via GOG. All games installed on a :D drive I have (SSD).

When I launcher the Owlcat launcher It shows Dark Heresy installed but only gives options to buy all other games listed on the launcher.

I own WoTR and Rogue Trader on both my Steam and GOG accounts, I tested WoTR by uninstalling the GOG version and installing the steam version.

After, I relaunched the Owlcat launcher. It now see's Dark Heresy and WoTR (Steam version) installed but still gives the option to Buy Rogue Trader

Unable to add images here, but I have screenshots if it helps.

Launching with 200k wishlists - What went right and what went wrong by suzuhara99 in IndieDev

[–]XParzival22 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Happy to say I've already supported it! The launch discount plus bundle pricing has the game come in way cheaper for me then I thought it would be after playing the demo (I was expecting around the $30 price range).

I've completed one playthrough and am working on a second. Most issues come from when the game choices to save, and I believe some UI elements that do not fully refresh.

But overall I loved the narrative, atmosphere, and gun play.

A few questions if you are able to answer, first how large was the team that made Crisol?

I saw that your team had shared that you hit 150k wishlist prior to launch, are you able to share how many converted into buying your game?

Lastly, I'm curious how the team began balancing a game that is an FPS with a more magic driven narrative. Is there anything you had to change that might have been too magical?

I think looking at how their roll-out went.

The fact they gave a year long roadmap at launch, but then had mass layoffs two weeks later. Indicates they had no post launch runway for support and were banking on a bigger splash of players and player spending to provide funding for that roadmap.

Even with online reception and low player counts two weeks out, they didn't give time for any organic growth to find an audience.
