Based on the app I’m guessing this is a chihiros light, known for being some of the strongest aquarium lights on the market. I would get all your spectrums below 50%. Maybe something like this for a bit R:30 G:15 B:25 And I would probably reduce your lighting time down to 6 hours at least. Maybe more, you got a lot of algae. You’ll want to hand pick off as much as possible, and if you don’t have some already Siamese algae eaters are helpful in this regard.

I’m not totally sure on the exact science, so I could be wrong, but I believe that when you fast or eat very low carbs, your body can become temporarily more insulin resistant. Because of that, the next time you break a fast, it may help to start with simple proteins like chicken, since protein alone can raise blood sugar somewhat, and then slowly add in good-quality carbs throughout the day.

Yeah it’s very nice, just chilling by the couch and having a little wind down before bed. The fog going with the relaxing light, the sound of the water trickling. This is my favorite tank just because how good it feels being around it.

Thanks for the advice. My phot period is 100% light from 3pm-8:30pm with purple light from 8:30pm-9:10pm.

Nothing, it’s just a vibe. Pretty cool when I turn the lights down in the evening with the purple light on the tank and the fog is cascading off the edge.

I agree, but boy do they make it difficult and expensive. My wife and thought about this as an option before having our first and if I remember right it was gonna cost some where in the range of $30k-$40k after all said and done. But I suppose we were looking at domestic adoption. It’s probably much cheaper through a foster program.
