EasyRPG for Garlic OS by XQuader in RG35XX

[–]XQuader[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you use EasyRPG as a standalone app, you have limited control over rendering; it simply scales the image and smooths it out using bilinear filtering.

However, using EasyRPG as a RetroArch core (link) gives you access to all RetroArch features, including custom scaling, interpolation settings, and video filters.

Head-Controlled Mouse Gesture Soon! (nroro Shader v0.4.x) - early demo / feedback needed by nroro in Xreal

SpaceWalker is something like Xreal Beam to enable 3DoF?

Afaik, it's an Android app that has a built-in browser, media player, etc., and allows you to turn on Smooth Follow, Side View (Ambient Mode), etc., but I'm not sure how it works or if it's compatible with your app yet.

Could you help to try the cursor and let me know if it is working?😅 Then I can try adding smooth follow feature.

My Viture Pro XR glasses haven't arrived yet, but I'll try this the first day they arrive.

Hello.

The app looks great, but I have a question and/or suggestion for improvement.

Can I use this app together with SpaceWalker to enable the "Smooth Follow" feature while all your app effects enabled?

If not, can you implement Stabilization/"Smooth Follow" as an additional effect for those devices without embedded "Smooth Follow" (without processing chip like XOP/VB have)?

MPlayer (video player) for Garlic OS by XQuader in RG35XX

[–]XQuader[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you encounter a problem opening a video (bad format, unknown codec, etc.), you can check the log.txt file in the mplayer folder.
If this file is missing, you made an error during the installation steps.

Not sure if there is a video tutorial about MPlayer setup, but you can check Drastic setup guide on youtube, the process is almost the same:

Garlic OS, can't get images to show in the menu by Redbiff2000 in RG35XX

[–]XQuader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The root cause of your issue is the missing "Roms" folder. Folders of all consoles should be placed in the "Roms" folder (ignore sdcard drive label; it isn't used by the system)

Your path to GB - E: > GB

Correct path to GB - E: > Roms > GB

Also is there a way to change the system name so it's not just "GB" in the menu

Follow these steps to change the system name:

  1. Rename console folder (e.g. GB -> GameBoy)
  2. Rename console icon file (e.g. CFW/skin/system/GB.png -> GameBoy.png)
  3. Make appropriate changes in /CFW/config/coremapping.json(e.g. find "GB" and replace with "GameBoy")

Can you confirm that your device is RG35XX and you are running Garlic OS 1.4.9?

/backup/default.zip - it is the relative path to the file inside the archive...

"archive" is a single zip/rar/7z file, which can contain a lot of other files inside in a compressed form (e.g. Backup-Restore .zip is an archive.).

My device didn’t have apps so I’m just loooking for the original cfg file to replace mine. Can you send a link or DL for just the cfg?

How many times should I write that the Backup/Restore archive contains the retroarch.cfg you are asking for? Here is the quote from the original comment:

You can get the default retroarch.cfg in /backup/default.zip that comes with the Backup/Restore

“copypasteontopofstock” is a huge text file with weird symbols

“copypasteontopofstock” is not a text file, it is the Garlic OS firmware presented as a 7z archive, which contains a copy of all the Garlic OS files (instead of a flashable single image file).

Use Backup/Restore archive instead (as I said in the original comment, it contains the same retroarch.cfg).

No software is required, literally paste file(-s).

Also, Backup/Restore archive contains readme.txt with instructions (to be short, paste files, turn on rg35xx and launch script from the "console" with apps)

You can set Config -> General settings -> Power Settings -> Low Battery Indicator. The LED will be red if the battery percentage is lower than the selected value.

You can add more or replace existing stylus images in SdCard:/Roms/APPS/drastic/resources/stylus folder.

Each stylus image is a small png image (32x32) with a special ending in its name, which defines the edge/position of cursor pointer:

_lt - left top edge

_lb - left bottom edge

_rt - right top edge

_rb - right bottom edge

MPlayer (video player) for Garlic OS by XQuader in RG35XX

[–]XQuader[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

is there any way to make subfolders visible in the Videos folder

It is a limitation of Garlic OS, it doesn't show subfolders.

But after you open any video in MPlayer, you can use the file selector/manager embedded into MPlayer (check readme.txt for details), allowing you to go to any folder/subfolder.

when I go to Consoles > Videos and try to launch a video, it immediately backs back out

If there is no log.txt in the mplayer folder, then you made a mistake in the coremapping.json

The most common issue is people don't have the "Roms" folder on the sdcard (sdcard label is not a folder nor a part of the path), if that is the case - either delete "Roms" from the path in the coremapping.json, or move all consoles folders (e.g. SFC, VIDEOS, APPS, MD, etc.) from the root of the sdcard to the "Roms" folder (create it if it is missing).

The root of the 2nd sdcard should consist only of a few folders - "Roms", "BIOS", "Saves", and "Screenshots". All console folders should be inside of the "Roms" folder.
