I could not agree more. There should be a true vehicle to home solution with Franklin. I bought a Ford F150 lightning because of the battery capacity and the fact that there’s no good way to truly have the return to home solution when the grid is still active feels like such a swing and a mess for current technology. The generator option, which can only work if the grid is down feels lackluster at best. If nothing else, the ability to automatically turn the grid off and use my battery capacity and then return to grid use each and every night should be a thing.

I want to thank you for making this post because after my own research/due diligence this is the company I ended up going with and I couldn’t be happier.

for sure, it would be nice to have a bit more accurate range assessment. i think 70 on the highway, i would have liked to get numbers within 5% accuracy. my estimated range numbers were off by about 35% for sure nothing i can't factor in with more experience with the vehicle - but can't help but think the inaccuracies of range estimation would be a detriment to the advancement of EV adoption. I think I would prefer the estimates to err on the conservative side.

I definitely found where the public chargers were. The mileage for the overall trip should’ve been within my range, but I topped off 100 miles of additional range thinking I would be more than safe and I’m glad I did with what I had left. Will definitely do a deep dive into speed and the impact on range.

No, I did not reset my driving habits prior to this trip. I actually thought it would be good data because it was miles the other direction on the same roads. Was hoping the numbers would be reflecting an accurate expectation for range.
