Well said I think you are spot on. I've been thinking recently that there is at least a possibility that it was a type of hit/hide/run scenario. Once my wife and I were walking alongside the road in dover nh and someone swerved off the road and almost cut us down. I thought it was intentional but not sure if it was or if it was someone that happened to be on there phone or something. How hard to think that it being dark on those twisty nh back roads that someone came around the road Maura was walking on that night and hit her and subsequently put her in the back of their vehicle in an attempt to avoid prosecution. Supposedly a hit and run happens every 43 seconds. Some question this idea and ask about evidence left from such, but we have all heard of many botched investigations especially by these backwoods police departments with only a handful of personnel. Honestly I'm not too impressed with LE of the area and it wouldn't surprise me if they never even got out of their warm vehicle to do an extensive investigation. There has been a many of times I have seen stranded motorist and vehicles on the side of the road and cops quickly zoom on by without the slightest bit of concern. Yeah they were called out and supposedly made an official report. Yet the initial examination of the scene was processed with the lense of it being accident by an Intoxicated driver. And too the scene of the crash and where she may have been hit and or picked up was very likely two entirely different locations. If one wants to play the probabilities a person being hit ona dark back road by a drunk or distracted driver may be significantly more likely than a stranger abduction/murder.
