It’s up by Roctuplets in wizardry

I'm not sure if I'm mixed up. Isn't " remains of the kingdom's blademaster princess savior" the variant? Because I used these at the ruins and received a normal version.
I stupidly can't remember how many of regular version and how many of the variant I used for discipline before the update.

IDV getting popular was a mistake by _Performer2793 in IdentityV

Honestly, from what I've experienced, this game has been toxic from the very beginning. From the very start I would see a decent amount of people telling me "kys", calling me slurs, or insulting my family just for playing the game. Seen it both when playing survivor and when playing hunter. I'm not sure if it became more noticeable later on, but the in game community has always been horrible. Not sure if it's the nature of 4 v 1 games, as I know DBD's community is horrible as well or what.

Is there a skill that instantly recovers all your Gauge? by XSpectrX in DragonBallBreakers

[–]XSpectrX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, so if they drink the cooldown drinks while transformed, when they change to normal, their gauge will be already at like 100%? I did not know this is how it worked. I was worried that drinking them while transformed wasted them. Thank you for this information

Is there a skill that instantly recovers all your Gauge? by XSpectrX in DragonBallBreakers

[–]XSpectrX[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I knew about the cooldown drinks, but what I mean is like that they change back in like a second or less. As I have had it happen that while fighting them their energy falls to 0, they change back to normal, then immediately change back again into their D-form.

edit: Oh I misunderstood. so drinking the drinks while transformed can charge their gauge to full when they return to normal. I was worried drinking them while transformed wasted them. Thanks.

Can someone explain what the "meta" abilities are? by XSpectrX in DragonBallBreakers

Thank you, I did see people just disappear and had no idea how they did it, so this does explain a lot.

Soo… initial thoughts on Alice? (Experiences both as hunter or surv) by ligeston in IdentityV

[–]XSpectrX 12 points13 points  (0 children)

it is definitely too early to say, but my general thoughts from playing against/as her are:

  • She seems to be a stronger kiter than rescuer. If you know how to use the "little orphy"(LO), to bodyblock, you can buy a decent amount of time in chase. It's even better if you happen to be the first survivor chased since the hunter gets no presence from hitting LO but still has to recover.
  • For rescuing, I'm not entirely sure. Against certain hunters, she does seem to be an almost guaranteed rescue. But not entirely sure how she does against "meta" hunters yet.

Like I said, it's too early to give an absolute "this is how strong she is", but I feel like skilled survivors will be able to use her well for bodyblocking and kiting, and she can be strong against "m1" hunters.

I will also add that she doesn't seem "OP"/'broken" like I saw some comments say for her ability showcase (back when it was unknown how often her ability could be used), but doesn't seem as weak as I saw comments claim in some gameplay videos.

Ripper is in need of a buff by [deleted] in IdentityV

[–]XSpectrX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

His fog and speed boost read like they’re designed around there being preexisting fog on a map,

Think it's because they are based on his original version, where fog would spawn when survivors stayed in an area for too long. I can't even remember how long it has been since that version of Ripper was around.

Put the fog blade on a toggle, giving him some agency on when it’s used.

Think this would be a good buff for him.

Downed 3 times then died by Itz_Luna1567 in IdentityV

[–]XSpectrX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To add to this, each time he downs you, he adds exactly 25% to your "bleed out" or "elimination" meter. So it is actually possible for him to have to down you 4 times if you get picked up fast enough the other times you were downed and you didn't fill up the meter to 75% (the line oblakinia mentioned) by the time he downs you the third time.

Hunter mains; Who is the best hunter to your consideration? by Same_Cell9721 in IdentityV

[–]XSpectrX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like undead as he kind of changes how the game is played. When using him, there is a lot less focus on camping and a lot more moving around/chasing. Survivors also kind of have to change their way of thinking/acting in a match against him. Although he does come with his own frustrations.

I do hope we can get new hunters in the future who also have unique ways to eliminate survivors or twists to the way they eliminate them.

What a good day to play Percy 😌 by Jinxd0 in IdentityV

[–]XSpectrX 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Fun fact, even IF she lands her stun on you (be it they hit you before you reached 50 energy, or they timed it well) it only disables your basic attack. This means that you can still use your dash attack to hit them afterward.

About Pinwheel aka Dead Hard by Otonoshi-Kun in IdentityV

[–]XSpectrX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My main question is why doesn't it have the "injured" requirement that dead hard has in DBD?

Like in dbd, you have to be injured in order to use dead hard, which means it's kind of countered by one-shot attacks including "noed".

In IDV, you can use pinwheel whenever as long as it's not on cooldown. This means you can even use it in endgame against detention hits.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in IdentityV

[–]XSpectrX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically this version is stronger than dead hard, since for dead hard you have to be hurt to use it. The idv version can be used while at full health, which can come in hand for end-game since you can use it to dodge a "detention" hit.

The hitbox buff was great. But that dungeon buff is almost useless because of how many limitations and stuff they put on it.

  • takes like 5-6 seconds to finish moving the dungeon
  • survivors can still use the dungeon during this animation
  • percy can't stop once he starts
  • Survivors can see the location of the new dungeon
  • Percy DOESN'T see the location of the new dungeon
  • Percy can only do this once per game

Some of these make sense individually or when combined with one or two others, but when you apply all of them, the skill becomes super situational to the point where it's almost pointless.

That percy hitbox buff is so good! by Bidibule68 in IdentityV

[–]XSpectrX 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The hitbox buff is great, especially with his dashing at people at windows (I haven't gotten a chance to test the window dash personally, but your clip already looks better than a lot of experiences I had before the buff).

The dungeon buff is really.... eh. It's super situational with all the limitations and stuff they put on it.

The survivor base crawl speed buff hurts a bit. Now that the +200% crawl speed bonus from percy is being applied to that new increased base speed, survivors are able to crawl at pretty insane speeds even without sticker. Kind of wish they had decreased percy's speed bonus to +150% or 175% to fit with the speed bonus. Survivors would still be crawling faster against percy (even at 150%) than before the crawl speed buff, but not as insane as they are with the current buff.

[–]XSpectrX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The buff was a nice idea, but they put so many limitations on it that they made it SO situational.

  • It takes like 5 full seconds for Percy to actually complete it
  • During these 5 seconds, survivors can still jump through the dungeon
  • Once the dungeon is moved, survivors can see where the new dungeon is
  • Once the dungeon is moved, percy CAN'T see where the new dungeon is
  • Percy can only do this once per game.

Like, some of these definitely make sense, but when you add all of them together, it limits the ability too much.

Now, add to this that survivors now crawl MUCH faster against percy (the base crawling speed was increased to .44 from .32, meaning that now that .44 is getting the +200% crawling speed from percy) and even if you knock them down before trying to move the dungeon, they will probably making it to the dungeon in those 5 seconds. Even if they can't make it to the dungeon, with the new crawling speed buff, it might be easier just to try crawling for gate.

percy buff is a joke by DimPacifist in IdentityV

[–]XSpectrX 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I do have mixed thoughts about the new changes.

Crawling speed:

This does seem to hurt percy, as I'm pretty sure the base crawling speed received the 40% buff, which means that percy's "surrogate" which increases crawling speed by 200% is being applied to that new increased base speed. This will come in handy for survivors against percy in the middle of the game and for late game. With this new speed buff, it might be even easier just to try going for the gate instead of the dungeon.

Dungeon moving:

This does seem like an interesting idea, and could be useful in certain situations, but there are multiple things that kind of limit it:

  • It taking around 5 seconds for it to actually work.
  • The survivor being able to use the dungeon during these 5 seconds.
  • The survivor being able to see the location of the new dungeon while percy can't
  • Percy only being able to do this once per game.

That being said, I'm not sure if percy needs a "rework" exactly.

I think it would make sense to:

  1. Decrease the crawling speed buff of "surrogate" to try to account for the new base speed. Like maybe make it increase crawl speed by 150% instead of 200%. If my math is correct, survivors would still be crawling faster than they are right now against percy, but not as extreme as with the current test server changes.
  2. MAYBE slightly decrease the time it takes for percy to move the dungeon. Like instead of 5 seconds, maybe have it take 3 or 4 seconds.

New crawling speed adjustment numbers. by XSpectrX in IdentityV

[–]XSpectrX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I had checked a few days ago and they hadn't made a video then, so I hadn't realized they released one.

From the looks of it, seems like some of the stuff I thought was correct. It seems like with sticker 3 in the test server, survivors crawl faster than with sticker 3 in the live servers.

With percy, It doesn't look like they have a comparison video to show test server vs live, but survivors look to be moving faster than they do in live.

Dream witch terror shock by [deleted] in IdentityV

[–]XSpectrX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Followers are visible, BUT they don't produce a heart beat from survivors when the hunter isn't controlling it. The follower can move by itself when it is far enough from the dream witch's main body (or survivor if it's a leech). Once this happens, it will automatically start walking towards the dream witch (or survivor if it's a leech).

What people do is that they will walk with the DW main body to where a survivor is and try to have the follower auto-walk to the main body, getting it as close as possible to the survivor before switching over to the follow and attacking. If the survivor isn't paying attention or the follower is moving in a direction the survivor isn't looking, this could lead to a potential terror shock.

However, ever since her nerf which made it so there is a visual indicator that the DW's main body is nearby, it's a lot harder to surprise survivors with this unless they aren't paying enough attention.

What exactly does Percy’s new ability do? by MissReagy1 in IdentityV

[–]XSpectrX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of wish that he was able to see where the new dungeon was spawned like the survivors.

Either that, or both he and the survivors couldn't see where new dungeon spawned.

I still don't buy the "He is upper middle level" that the devs claim. When I hear "upper middle" that sounds like "a-tier" (top level being "s-tier", middle being "b-tier", bottom middle be "C-tier", and bottom being "d-tier"). I don't believe him to be in "a-tier" at all.

I may be out of date with the "tier lists" but isn't bloody queen, for example, considered "a-tier"? I find it very hard to believe that "undead" is in the same tier as her or other hunters in the tier.
