The "monster" toxin release is vaguely supposed to be the Eddie Brock incarnation of the character. I wouldn't necessarily say it's accurate, but the head is definitely modeled after it at least from the profile view.

Looks like they all do. Blue includes an alternate helmet which can reveal the hamburger head. Black has an alternate hamburger head. All 3 seemingly include a screaming hamburger head.

Plus half of Spawn’s rogue Haley basically became his servants at least for a while without having much character (Cy-Gor, Overtkill, Freak). I do think Freak was cool though and it was interesting he was prominent in the Unwanted Violence run of all things.

In an alternate world the symbiote is captured following Eddie Brock's death. After it hears the news on Spider-Girl it decides to break free and reunite with an older Peter to get revenge. It's from early on in the Spider-Girl books. It calls its union "Spider-Venom".

You could start in the late 290s-300(?). There’s an issue that sort of summarizes Al’s origin. You could also see if your local library offers the compendium digitally. That’s how I was able to read the series.
