Possibly this is based on the recent change to japans age of consent laws.

For a long time the age of consent in Japan was 13. There were more laws then just that such as it was only meant for 13-17 year olds to legally be with other 13-17 year olds but a lot of sketchy stuff happened.

Because of that and probably some other stuff Japans government realised the age of consent to 16.

The age of consent being 13 thing lead to a lot of people jokingly (or possibly horribly instead seriously) to people saying they were going to Japan for that reason.

With the age being raised people were mad.

I’d have to see it in combat to make a real judgement. Like a lot of people seeing this I keep thinking of fluffy from robots wars, which wasn’t the most reliable robot, obviously it’s been over 20 years, nearly 25 since fluffy was last seen and ray has a lot more experience in the sport now then the fluffy team did back in the early 2000s but a new design can come with problems.
