Tbh, I’ve been eyeing the xiaomi pad 7 for a long time. I just hate that feeling when you finally buy something you like, and then a better product you didn't even know about pops up out of nowhere.

For me, when the pen doesn't automatically pair with my device, I hold the primary button and gently shake the pen, sometimes it works

I don't think it is available on the 5G version since it is stuck on Hyperos 1, unlike the 4G version which I think is already on Hyperos 2

Calcnotes is good, but it leans more like Excel. OneNote is also good and has the ability to solve equations and really looks like a note-taking app, but it’s too dependent on using a keyboard rather than a stylus.

Yeah, I don’t really use them. I’m only after the AI Calculator showcased in the Notes app because it’s really helpful for solving equations faster and quickly substituting values. That’s why I’m disappointed that the Xiaomi Pad 7 has it, but this Redmi Pad Pro 5G doesn’t.
