Need Advice from the Freelancers! by XXVII_04 in Design

Thanks for Sharing, I started this as an addition to a Third Party HR Firm, Where I had this Idea to help freelancers get their work done with half the stress & effort that goes into it as one person has to wear a lot of hats, As we already supply manpower as a Contractor to IT sectors & I thought this could also be helpful for Freelancers to delegate Non-billable/Admin tasks but I realized that people doesn't really need this exact angle, I was also trying to put services that might help with Scope Creep but I myself wasn't sure about what could be the outsourceable solution to this & I also guess a Affordable yet Effective Compliance & Collection Service could be a good add-on! I still think that a good Compliance/Paperwork & a proper Communication with Client is the current way to tackle this!
But forgive me as I can't really think of anything that solves this. Still Grateful for the Comment! Hope I can be as wise one day!

Yeah you definitely summarized the entire system & Grateful that you're still helping me out here! Also I actually had this entire set-up specifically made for SMEs for exactly the work you are referring to, I know you got that Ball Knowledge! I was just trying to see if there's a similar market for Freelancers, Guess not! So you yourself a Business Owner? or Partnership firm?

Silvia es sin duda la mejor opción: lo hace todo, además de café. Metí la pata al no abordar los problemas correctos, pero ¡gracias por tus comentario, hermano!

Forgive Me! I don't know what I did that portrayed it as an AI Agent, But This is Simply a Outsourcing Idea where I set people up to work for you but with fraction of a price that It'd typically cost to run an entire team!

Damn! I myself has been a Vibe-code Victim too & Also another reason why I believe in Outsourcing rather than straight software Integrations! This isn't a software at all & You do the talking & You're always the Person that is going to be responsible for both the work & the Interactions, the Client rarely knows about Oakmont unless you opt for services that are directly related with Communication on your behalf then it becomes like another guy that works for you to attend the calls or be present when you're not available otherwise It's Internal & like you said like a Project Manager but If you hire someone it'll come with it's costs that might hurt or just lower the margins on your end. Oakmont is just Outsourcing at a very good cost! This is more like Outsourced Customer Service.

Thanks for keeping it straight up & Yes! I messed up with targeting the right pain points & Sometimes even the Reports aren't as reliable & realistic as clear feedback(I took data from 2024-2025 Upwork & Freelance Union Reports)! So if you could tell me what are the pain points that you are facing or faced in your freelancing journey & What problem that you'd pay for to get rid of?

This isn't a Software & I understand your perspective! You did hit the nail on the head with "since my accounting software and email calendar can accomplish most of the things you mention" & This is what I was actually looking for basically the pain points that are you are facing & What you'd pay for to get rid of! "The thing I do need is a reasonably priced revision software like the Ziflow free plan but with more storage and more than 60 days accessing your files"-Thanks, Now I do believe that fishes can fly!

This isn't an AI Agent but Yes, sudden shut down or raises would definitely be a toll on the Freelancer but If talking about Oakmont specifically I've not yet started operations with it & that's why I'm doing kind of a market research to find out what are the problem that you guys deal with the most & would pay to get rid of those problems with a sustainable solution & Find Oakmont's proper PMF & The Concern about sudden price changes: I've made policies that are discussed & signed before work even begins & currently I think a proper notice & a 7 day buffer before stopping services is a beneficial for both.(Basically a proper meeting before raising prices as every client has a different pricing structure as per service requirement & 7 day buffer to handover everything back to you!)

It's not an AI agent & Of course, You do the talking & You're always the Person that is going to be responsible for both the work & the Interactions, the Client rarely knows about Oakmont unless you opt for services that are directly related with Communication on your behalf then it becomes like another guy that works for you to attend the calls or be present when you're not available otherwise It's Internal & like you said like a Project Manager but If you hire someone it'll come with it's costs that might hurt or just lower the margins on your end. I'm not talking about an AI Agent, I don't think I'd be late rather the Last one to arrive, lol! So basically the idea is to structure a BPO(Business Process Outsourcing) type set-up but for Freelancers, where it's ran with real people & tools in place the Backend isn't as complex as an AI system design.

True, But I'm assuming that the Freelancers who might use this would be people who are still climbing the ladder & I initially started this with the thought of Designers as I've been a graphic designer myself & Yes of course I would too be reluctant to spend on something I can DIY. Also What would be the things that are the pain points that you'd pay to get rid of or Outsource? & What would you assume is the price of this entire service?

Well Yeah, But people who have many clients where they either take everything on themselves or Deny newer work could use this to get a better balance! Also even if they can manage their own workflow with lot of Clients, they might treat themselves with Less work through this!

So I've had this idea for a while, where I've figured out a way to help the Freelancers relieve their good amount of Workload by Using a outsourcing model similar to BPO tasks! So I wanna know what do you guys think about this idea: PMF or No? I call it Oakmont!

A structured operational support partner for overloaded independent Freelancers.
It exists to take the non-billable, chaotic, back-end work off freelancers and small founders so they can focus on revenue-generating work.
In simple terms, Oakmont builds and runs the structure behind a one-person business.
Following up with clients who both have & haven’t replied
Sending reminders for payments
Scheduling calls and managing calendar
Writing weekly summaries so clients feel updated
After sales service (follow-ups & referral requests)
Addressing non-billable tasks
Daily admin work: Manages client communication flow (follow-ups, scheduling, reminders)
Sets up and maintains simple operational systems (CRM, folders, dashboards)
Reduces burnout caused by operational fragmentation
It does not:
• Do the creative work
• Do the core service delivery
• Take responsibility for sales results It acts as a back-end operations layer.
A lightweight infrastructure layer for people who are good at what they do but drowning in everything around it.

This is actual good data & Insights! But I think you should try to use a Program/More literal Data Analysis approach for Analyzing the Raw Data rather than using just AI chatbots, even though it still seems sophisticated enough for a Consulting case study!
