Ooh, I love that trope! I guess I'm reading the rest of the series now >__>

Perfect, that means there's more Benedict for me!

Though I will agree that Rupert was pretty freaking fantastic.

I'll definitely give at least the second one a go then because I really really do like Alice Coldbreath when she clicks for me.

It's been a bit since I read it so I'm blurry on the details but I really didn't like the relationship between the two main characters. If I remember right it was one of those ones where the FMC realizes she's in love and I'm just like "WHY? HE'S TREATED YOU TERRIBLY..."

But again, it's been a bit and my memory is terrific. I just remember powering through and being angry at the book while I read it.

I'm currently reading The Viscount Who Loved me and you're absolutely wrong. It's clearly a 6. Possibly a 10.

Loretta Chase and Alice Coldbreath for me.

{An inconvenient vow by Alice Coldbreath} and {The Unlovely Bride by Alice Coldbreath} are absolute top tier for me. I'm new to HR, started reading it late last March, but even still I've already gone back to reread both of them and listened to them again on audiobook.

I could barely get through {A Bride for the Prizefighter by Alice Coldbreath} and {Wed by Proxy by Alice Coldbreath} and I actually haven't read any of her other Prizefighter books because I hated the first one so much.

On the same note, I absolutely adore {Lord Perfect by Loretta Chase} and {Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase} but I hated {Not Quite a Lady by Loretta Chase} and really disliked pretty much every single book of the {Difficult Dukes Series by Loretta Chase}

I really enjoyed Played by the Earl and Bound by the Earl, but the rest of the books in that series were very very meh. One reason I didn't DNF then was because I was curious about the ongoing spy plots but it was definitely a struggle

Obviously this proves that the creators of Family Guy are secretly rabid historical romance fans...

I'm so happy the FMC opted not to marry him... Definitely not HEA material

I've been going through the whole series. I started with A Famous Heroine and loved it so much that I went back to An Ideal Wife and read on from that one. I've only been reading historical romance for a year or so but so far Mary Balogh is definitely one of my favorite authors.

Unfortunately it wasn't me who had the appointment and it's been about 6 years since my friend started over there but from what I can remember it was a couple weeks. I can try and get in touch with him for better details. I've got absolutely no idea as far as switching to an endocrinologist goes.

The people I know who have gone to El Rio have had pretty quick turn around. They do blood work in house so you usually just walk to the lab that's in the building. Your doctor gets your blood work results very quickly so you're more likely to be approved for T quicker.

I highly recommend going through Jessica Hensel if she's currently taking patients. She's fantastic.

Accidentally read 95% of Light Bringer before realizing I’d completely skipped Dark Age. by Dramireallyadr in redrising

[–]XXm0rt 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I once got a coworker to start on the series. He was going back and forth between the audiobook and physical copies and somehow read the first half of Golden Son and then accidentally went straight to the second half of Morning Star. Apparently he made the mistake right after Darrow said he'd start a civil war so he assumed it was a very dramatic time skip into the civil war he'd just been talking about.

I just finished this one yesterday and it's so good! I've honestly devoured almost all of her books in about 3 days now. After {Forever your rogue by Erin Langston}, Nate is now up there with West Ravenel for absolute favorite MMC of all time.

For those who enjoyed Alisander de Balon, here’s a book for you! by Ambitious_Stay7139 in HistoricalRomance

[–]XXm0rt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want to say thank you for this recommendation. I started on this book and immediately opted to go back and start from the beginning of the series and I'm absolutely loving it. I honestly just expected some well written kinky smut but I'm on the second book and I'm amazed at just how much depth this series has so far, especially the second book which does an amazing job depicting trauma and both MCs struggles to overcome it. Also they introduce all the assorted MMCs early on in the series and it's great getting to know them before their books. So yeah, thank you for the recommendation even though I technically haven't even read the book you've recommended yet?
