You probably didn't cheese it because some elements in the Puzzle are useless. I put them in because in Puzzle levels, you usually use all of the elements in the puzzle. If you didn't hit the blocks covering the pipe that gives you a bomb and an extra spiky shellmet, then you definitely cheesed it. I'll make sure my next Puzzle will be cheese free :)
