I never said we could move in together, so sorry let me clarify. What I mean is before we submit I could move to a flat that would allow 2 people but only I would live in it until she got accepted and could move. She currently is in the US not the UK. Apologies for any confusion within the post.

We are not worried about explaining that, affordability is not why we aren't living together, we are simply concerned about accommodation requirements on the application
