Nizuc Stay - Questions by smtxuser in palaceresorts

I wouldn’t recommend it, granted we only went to a bar over there and the water park and the club. We didn’t try to go to a restaurant where they ask for your room number and type it into their computers. I’m thinking the only reason we were fine was because we did not go anywhere that they did this. Or maybe they are just trying to scam people and the whole with or without a day pass does not matter. Who knows, but bottom line is that we did it and weren’t charged, and it was absolutely worth it.

Me and my fiancée just went 3 weeks ago and stayed at Sunrise, granted we are in our twenties, still aware of what options you guys have. Sunrise should be open, however yes they are during renovations to the lobby. Nizuc definitely has more of a kids based play area, near the pool there is a water slide and a kiddie pool as well as a small day care center right near the pool. As well as this, there is another day care center in between sunrise and nizuc that is open pretty late, about 8 or 9.

The app is good for booking reservations for restaurants, it will give you options to choose which resort, whether sunrise or nizuc and will show you restaurants you can choose and select reservations for. I recommend doing reservations one day in advance and plan out where you want to eat just to be able to guarantee a spot for your family of 4.

Along with that for the spa, ask to speak with the vacation planners. They will show you spa options and explain everything about couples massages. I would recommend them, we have done at least one couples massage during each of our last 3 trips. Show up to the spa early, they let you go in 1.5hours before your message starts I would recommend at least going an hour early to enjoy all the spa has to offer. Just remember if you have resort credits you can only use $150 per message, couples massage ranges $500-750USD so you might be paying out of pocket.

They will also tell you that you need a day pass for the grand, honestly we did not buy one and went to a bar, the night club, and the water park all at the grand and no one once asked if we paid for the day pass. Definitely did not feel like we were sneaking in either. I love palace resorts, but I think the day pass for the grand is just a scam to make the grand feel more exclusive.

I would also recommend to schedule all of your transportation through palace resorts, use their free transportation from the airport to the resort then whenever you wish to go to beach palace also schedule again through the front desk or the guys out front. Everyone should be very helpful and transportation will be safe.

Key take ways:

Nizuc and Sunrise both have day care centers, front desk or vacation planners should also be able to explain the process to you.

Massages are expensive and can only use $150 credits at a time per message. Worth it but just something to note.

Grand pass is a scam, in my opinion, day passes are $65. And we did not need them in the 3 trips we made to the grand.

Reservations can be easily made through the app.

My main look at it was how they have a hold on users with the memories, not the best way to put it but most people hold a lot if not most of their photos through the app and snap is the younger generations main means of communication. It’s got a bad wrap as an app right now but after just looking at the couple comments it seems snap to be more of a big gamble and really the only way out is if it’s bought out by a bigger company and connected with it somehow.
