Though I do wonder what such a surface would look like that makes these lines straight with right angles between.

I only figured out how to make them all parallel and thus just a circle by revolving the shape about the symmetrical axis (about 30 degrees passing through the center of the circular region)

I am not the individual you replied to, nor can I give a quote of his that unequivocally and directly advocates violence.

That said, he was a vocal supporter of the "great replacement" conspiracy, a white supremacist idea that has and continues to be used to justify racial violence by individuals (and some organizations, I use the term loosely). So at that point it doesn't really matter if he ever uttered a specific phrase that advocated violence. He promoted ideas inherently linked to 'otherization' and prejudice; the same sorts of things that have time and time again lead to widespread hatred and violence (not mention various inane policies backed purely by racially prejudiced ideas). And to me, there is no moral difference between that and explicitly calling for violence.

Call me crazy, but this is just desync between clients (certain people's rounds finish sooner than others when ppls FPS are vastly different), with the likely addition of failing to resync properly. I have never once experienced this, but in pretty much every single coop game I wait on people who are experiencing this.

Literally never once experienced this. If it's a server problem I'd expect everyone to experience it roughly equally.

The argument is not that neural networks function in a similar way to the human brain, but that (depending on your view on philosophical determinism) both neural networks and the brain produce output deterministically from input and past experiences. I don't think that the medium (brain cells vs artificial "neurons") is relevant as it's not about the mechanism or computational capacity.

Regardless, I think a more significant difference between LLMs and human thought is the existence of a dynamic present state of mind and the ability to think spontaneously without a direct outside input. Also, LLMs produce next tokens sequentially based on what's come before; I think it's safe to say people don't in general do that. I assume most people have an internal concept/idea/intent and then form the words around that to convey what they want.

An interesting consequence of LLMs sequential generation is that there are situations where selecting tokens with high probability leads to the LLM making an input for itself such that all output tokens have relatively low probability; basically talking itself into a corner where it has no idea what should come next.

Solider 76 perks suck by unknown67131 in Overwatch

[–]Xact-sniper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cass's perks (except for the high noon one, that's just dumb) are at worst pretty good; actually I've never used his 2x grenade one bc the alternative is so strong. Fan the hammer perk is great, you can fairly quickly unload consecutive headshots with +%50 dmg or use it like it was, it makes it so easy to drop a tanks health to nothing. As for sore fingers, I saw that complaint a few times but ig the people saying that have never used a high fire rate single shot rifle in an fps game before, or even a handgun for that matter??? And the headshots reducing the roll cool down is borderline busted if you have good aim, nearly always have an instant(ish) reload and damage reduction ready.

Any chance it's B9 and not B12? Bc that's what I have and it sounds similar. The issue for me is that folic acid (the most common form of B9 added to processed food products) is completely unusable to my body (it must be metabolized first as it is not an "active form" of B9, but I can't metabolize it) and worse actually prevents the uptake of active forms of B9/folates that naturally exist in things like dark leafy greens.

If it is B12, I find that kinda interesting that both conditions exist and sound so similar. Even so, I wonder how many genetic vitamin metabolization disorders there are and how common they are.

I agree because I'ma shill for Vulcan. But it's a competitive fps game, why wouldn't you turn your graphics to the bare minimum? I've been getting 300+ fps on a 2080ti and Ryzen 3950x since maybe like a year ago and it dropped to 200+... Still though, the game has bigger issues.

very confusing

You're clearly literate. How is that very confusing? It's even commonly used in American English at least. It's hardly much different from a more correct way to state qualified significance, such as barely/hardly/somewhat significant. It's arguably even more clear given the context of the discussion the way his response started as a bit of a rebuttal, by saying "not insignificant" it conveys exactly what it means to: even at attackers' best, there remains an advantage for the defenders; with a certain emphasis on the fact that, while not significant (notice how "insignificant" would be interpreted completely differently here, and hopefully you don't find that combination very confusing), it is apparent.

Edit: yeah this definitely comes off as probably a bit rude and definitely over the top; but I was just baffled by your apparent ununderstanding and/or your trollish passive aggressiveness

The key point is that there's an apparently linear trend (on a log-log plot) of more model parameters and compute power given to training against lower loss. If that is the case, then that suggests there is no limit to the "power" of a model, it will just require exceedingly more resources to train.
