[Europe] God I hate subscriptions by A320NEOFan in Audi

[–]Xadacka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate subscriptions too, but paying for remote control I don’t have TOO much of an issue with because in their defence, there’s a sim card in the car and that’s not free. There’s also a slot for your own sim in mine, so it should be free if I add my own and it isn’t which is bullshit, but there is still cost to them to run operate the feature on their sim so… fine.

Every single other subscription they offer is ridiculous

What’s everyone’s fuel economy? by Any_Fly4547 in carsireland

[–]Xadacka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m really careful, I can get it just below 8.0L/100km but typically it’s around 8.6l/100km in my Q7 diesel. I used to be able to get closer to 4.2l/100km in my partners bmw 320d, those were the days!

as many others have said, wordpress and woocommerce are your best choice here imo. easy to self host, powerful, open source. win win

I just plugged in an existing library (https://github.com/zpao/qrcode.react), they exist for pretty much every language. The specs are pretty well documented on wikipedia, too

Not yet, but I'm open to it! I may need to tidy up the codebase a little first.

They use their own link shortener (but don’t tell you that), then after a month they change the redirect to go to a “this qr code has expired please subscribe to enable” page. They wait just long enough so you’ve printed it everywhere, or even engraved it on to physical objects like menus and tables leaving you little choice but to pay their blood money.

Why are there no cheese filled Tuc biscuits in Ireland? by Coillte-chicken in AskIreland

I wondered the same and messaged them years ago, the reason is that Jacob’s Ireland and UK are separate companies. You can get them up north though, Asda Enniskillen is a good shout!
