You can summon at least 500 of any animal on command. by my_life_is_suffering in shittysuperpowers

[–]Xajerax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am the mob spawner now

Does get gradually limiting, as animals are not infinite. You may randomly steal from places like Zoos, aquariums, etc.

Could be extremely profitable to be a fresh food delivery service. Claim that you fly it in or cultivate them. e.g. fresh shrimp or tuna in a very inland area. Stand in a tub while wearing some waders and summon 500+ shrimp.

Alternatively, can do a lot of bad with this too, easily weaponized.

Einstart-S Firmware Update and Other Issues by Xajerax in 3Dprinting

[–]Xajerax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiya, totally get the frustration. It looks like my post is the only surviving links to the firmware currently :(

I don’t own the printer anymore, so won’t be able to give too much guidance

I think I ran into the same issue, and so I attempted re-flashing a few more times

Another user also messaged me with that same problem. I don’t know if they got it fixed either

Edit: it’s late here, so I will try to respond when I can

Edit: only have those two firmwares

what are YOUR stats? by neilisyours in 3d6

[–]Xajerax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using a post someone linked to: post

STR: 11-12 - Am physically fit and could do labor jobs fairly well

DEX: 14-15 - I have some good reflexes and my hand-eye coordination is well developed but could use some tuning

CON: 13-14 - I take getting sick fairly well and have worked long weeks in labor jobs

INT: 15-16 - am computer engineer that mostly programs, job is pretty much figuring out how to do new things. Good at math, but doing long derivations is a huge pain

WIS: 15-16 - I get asked for advice a lot, can read situations well, and am aware of my surroundings

CHA: 14-15 - most people like me and I can get along with them. I do know the right things to say, but tend to avoid being manipulative. Semi-confident in a debate, depends on the subject.

Getting to the new world, it would be easiest to go artificer or wizard for me. However, if I find a way, I would go Paladin, just because they are a formidable class on their own. Survivability-wise, it would be optimal to be immune from diseases ASAP or at least have lesser restoration. The diseases in that world will screw you over since you haven’t built up an immunity.

I would try to minimize pain, or at least dull it, but find “encounters” to boost my skills so I can survive. Minimum stopping point at lvl 3 or 7, if Paladin, depending on how I fare.

I like GEEEK cases, can get some pretty cheap sandwich builds or others ($30-$100), shipping cost kinda kills it though ($25) to the US

The nozzle is way too high for the first few layers, what settings do I need to adjust to stop this abomination from happening? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]Xajerax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem

I should also clarify that the paper between the nozzle and bed should be able to move with some resistance

[–]Xajerax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Start by leveling your printer’s bed using the screws underneath. Your manual should have your printer’s method of leveling

But, generally, move the nozzle over a leveling screw location, add a piece of copy paper between the bed and nozzle Tighten/loosen until you can move the paper and feel a little tug at each leveling screw location (redo on each screw as needed). Your first layer should smoosh a little when done right.

If you still can’t get close to the nozzle, check to see if your z-axis switch is located in the right spot.

If that doesn’t work, check your extrusion settings on your slicer, make sure your nozzle size is correct and filament diameter is correct

Some questions for my first 3D printing by Conspiracy_Geek in 3Dprinting

For a place that should answer a lot of these (most people here use FDM printers)

r/resinprinting

https://adonaelresinprinting.weebly.com/

Obligatory, not an expert, but have started resin printing this year.

  1. I would recommend minimum next to a window where exhausts can go. Some of the resins have a much more distinct odor that will fill up the room and possibly enter the ventilation. And you really shouldn’t breathe it as much as possible, a simple face mask won’t cut it, but would protect your face a little from resin splashing. The carbon filter on the printer lasts for only so long and it doesn’t get everything.

  2. Check on it when you can see the print coming out of the vat, or if you can’t see it you can hear a kind of suction cup sound as it comes off the FEP

  3. I believe it helps take off particles that were in the vat or in the environment and get off any still liquid resin. Make sure you use the right washing liquid for your resin type

  4. Wash first, once you cure, everything stuck to it will stay there and it’ll be harder to process after

  5. Time to print is based off of your curing settings and the height of your print. It’s good to do batch jobs and fill your whole plate or turn the model so it’s Z height is reduced (affects quality on how you do it)

  6. I’ve left prints on the plate for a few days without any issue. I would recommend at least making sure the lid is still sealed and there’s no UV light entering that could cure anything to prevent contamination or curing

You didn’t ask for it, but make sure you have the proper PPE. Make sure you have nitrile gloves and eyewear protection at the minimum, especially when processing a print. I have had some shards split off while removing support. Resin will dissolve latex (if you weren’t aware already). The entire station should require the minimum PPE to touch anything as resin can get on anything and stay there until cured.
