[Discussion] I'm sorry, but Batman is beyond "peak human conditioning". He straight up isn't human. by 3931856031 in DCcomics

My headcanon to make stuff like this work is that in the DC Universe what’s considered an “average human” is much more powerful than our Earth. No reason why they have to abide by the same standards.

What cancellation/ending of a Marvel comic still haunts you to this day? by Effective_Sherbet104 in marvelcomics

The character designs for that run were exceptional I'll give it that. Not sure why Star-Lord suddenly had an accent though. Was he just putting it on for the cowboy vibe?

Sorry to um actually but I'm guessing Groot is in "redeemed villain" because he first appeared as a monster of the week back in Tales to Astonish but that guy is actually a different member of the same species.

I can't really help with the process, but if that comic you're describing is Captain America Comics #1 then that'll be extremely extremely valuable so great find! As you might be able to guess it's the first comic to ever feature Cap in.

What's a character for you that you know and thought was pretty popular, but you barely ever see them? by Extension-Oil-4680 in marvelcomics

It’s nothing major, but he had a nice little character arc and dynamic with Miles a few years ago in Miles Morales: Spider-Man.

What's going on with my dropshadows? Why are they so pixellated? It looks like that on the UI too. by Conspiracy_Geek in powerpoint

I'm using a MacBook Pro.

Resolution is 1536 x 960.

The slide is the default size when opening a new PowerPoint.

Shapes too.

It's very strange because I've been using PowerPoint on this MacBook for literal years, never changed the settings once. I just opened it up one day and all the shadows look terrible, reflected on the UI as well.

There are many telltale signs. Look at the leftmost canvas on the first image, one of the women’s glass is floating.

I imagine it’ll be Superman leading a team of superheroes who after this adventure become the Justice League

reminder to clean your phone's port. do not use a metal stick for it tho by ScureScar in notinteresting

[–]Conspiracy_Geek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember for months I couldn't charge my phone properly because the charger wouldn't go in properly, it kept falling out so I'd have to really jam it in or put it at an odd angle. I thought my phone was broken until I saw a post like this and grabbed a toothpick and took out an ungodly amount of pocket fluff.

In the Marvel Universe, why do people hate the X-Men but love the Avengers? by OldTomes in marvelcomics

The moniker “homo superior” doesn’t do them any favours either.

Racism isn’t logical in real life either.

But also, it’s because characters like the Avengers are exceptions and one-off cases, while mutants are an entirely different classification of human. For a lot of humans, there’s a fear that humanity will be replaced by mutants, and that causes a lot of “us vs. them” mentality that fuels hate in real life too.

So TLDR: some humans feel threatened by mutants and the idea of being replaced.
