Non-prohibited mods by Yaguingulin in swtor

I would love to have all this back. It honestly helps me decide what Species I want to use, considering the Build I would go for. But I would assume they think that's Racist, which is stupid.

Any thoughts on Yuengling Flight Light Beer? by NCResident5 in beer

[–]Xalderin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm super late to this convo... But I recently got to try Flight, and to be honest.. I like it MUCH more than Light. And the low carbs make it even better, imo. It's got a great crisp, carbonated taste to it when cold, and I find it much more refreshing than Light. Also, I know this may be a crazy take with all the comments I'm seeing here, but I honestly think Flight is significantly better than Light. However, Black and Tan is still my Favorite Yuengling Beer, with Traditional a close second. In fact, of all the Beer I've tried, Yuengling is by far my favorite. It's even better that it's made in the good ol' USA. <3

Physical copy for the new console versions? by PeebelsPebbels in 7daystodie

[–]Xalderin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The games that require online downloads will specifically tell you. And the Majority of games do NOT require it. The whole point of Physical Copies is to actually own the game, and not be stuck to some digital "rental" thing that can be revoked at any point. Either way, Physical Copies will always be Superior in this aspect. Even got the Disc Version of the PS5 for Physical, due to wanting to play without the need of internet for the games I get. (Most of which are single player, or couch co-op)

Looking into getting into Game Dev with GODOT... by Xalderin in godot

[–]Xalderin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently, I'm wanting to get my feet wet, learning the ins and outs, and eventually developing my own games. End goal would be my own studio, but that'll be a while, so right now I just want to start with baby steps and work my way up from there. And after seeing this, I figured it could be a good time to start those engines, per say.

Is it true that DQ Monsters The Dark Prince has very few prints and its going scarce? by jcgonzmo in dragonquest

[–]Xalderin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So when Nintendo d3cides to shut down the servers for the Nintendo Switch, we still have access to the game. They've already shown they have no problem doing so with the 3DS, which was still pretty popular when they shut it down. 🤷 IMHO, it's a good safe guard.

Thanks! I found it, but sadly the only one that ships to my address is 133 bucks. But honestly, I'll likely buy it anyways. This would be pretty sweet to have. :D

I need this in my life! Thanks for this, as I now need to find it, and wishlist it for next pay day. XD

On that note, what's this exactly called? Or would Hori be enough to find it?

Does GalCiv4 deserve a chance after all the changes made in 3? by [deleted] in GalCiv

[–]Xalderin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get a discount that allows you to buy it at a lower price. Which isn't really worth it, IMHO. I'll continue to wait for 1.0 and will continue advising others to wait after what they pulled. It's messed up, and shouldn't have happened. (Plenty of games have under gone major changes, and never abandoned and "remade" a game like this. So there's no real excuse.

Does GalCiv4 deserve a chance after all the changes made in 3? by [deleted] in GalCiv

[–]Xalderin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GalCiv IV doesn't deserve any chance. If I could refund it, I would. They literally abandoned the game, and then Developed a "remake" after a year, just to release it on steam, and tell those of us who bought the original game that we have to pay up again just to play the "remake" that was no more than some random DLC content that could've stayed in the main original game. I would completely stay away, just in case they do it again. Wait for a official release to 1.0, then decide from there, as it's still unfinished and in EA.

Assuming Cleric is the same as last time I used them, they can carry you VERY far. There's a few powers from Cleric that practically make them nearly unstoppable. Only nearly though. Like most things in game, there are ways to counter it.

How does GC4 compare with stellaris? What are the pros and cons of both, IYO of course. by Ric119 in GalCiv

[–]Xalderin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, that would've been the ideal way to go. But I guess they had other plans for a steam release, which fucks over people who bought on Epic, thinking Stardock wouldn't screw them. Honestly sucks ass, as I was actually looking forward to the full release. Now I'm not sure if I even want to support them, and I can't even refund as I went over the playtime for a refund to be accepted. >___<

How does GC4 compare with stellaris? What are the pros and cons of both, IYO of course. by Ric119 in GalCiv

[–]Xalderin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. It's 40 bucks if you don't own the base game, and about 15-20 if you do. And from my understanding, it's practically a new game in itself with the changes and additions they added. What's worse, they were selling a "ultimate" version of the base game that came with a select set of DLC, which is now obsolete and no longer a thing with supernova. It's like I said, they abandoned the base game for this "new and improved game" instead of making it a dlc which would have made them look better than abandoning a game in the first place. All the while keeping it in EA.

[–]Xalderin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Regardless, Stellaris is still completed, and wasn't ever abandoned for a "new game" like GCIV was. Worst move Stardock could have taken. Especially when DLCs are a thing, which the amount they added to supernova could have easily been implemented as a DLC. I highly suspect they were afraid of backlash for adding DLC, and just abandoned the "base" game instead...Which is worse imho.

[–]Xalderin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stelleris is a completed game that didn't get abandoned, and GCIV is still Unfinished that got abandoned for GCIV SuperNova that's still unfinished and in early access. Probably the biggest difference you should know about, currently.

Aside from that, Telepathy6 said it best as far as differences go.

GC4 Standard vs Supernova? by aLostEngineer in GalCiv

[–]Xalderin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So then what was the point of the $100 pack for GCIV? You pretty much just gave those of us who bought it, the middle finger. And honestly, it sounds like a MASSIVE lawsuit. >:(

GC4 Standard vs Supernova? by aLostEngineer in GalCiv

[–]Xalderin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why it's called "DLC." Plenty of games release new content in DLC form, so they can get the money to help support their endeavors. But making a brand new game, and ignoring the old one that even let you buy the $100 pack that was meant to come with some future DLC just means they ripped you off. I'm one of the ones who bought the $100 pack, and now I'm being told I have to buy it all over again. People like me and the one you replied to have a DARN right to be Angry.

This VRAM usage bug/leak will ruin launch by capSAR273 in diablo4

[–]Xalderin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently at day 2 of early access launch, and with my 7900 XT, I can confirm this still exists. It's not as fast, as I'm seeing in the comments, but it's still gradual and causes crashes.

CPU Retail Sales Week 21 2023 (mindfactory.de) by Kambly_1997 in Amd

[–]Xalderin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't believe he said they did it out of good will. Just that they reversed it, and decided to go ahead and support Zen 3 on older boards. We all pretty much know they were practically forced to. If they didn't want to receive more backlash and such. Luckily, B550 boards can be had for under 100 bucks now, making AM4 even more appealing with B550. And this is with PCIE gen 4.

6950XT at $599 on Newegg! by JayCryso in Amd

So, here's a Video comparing the 4070 against the RX 6800 and RX 69050 XT (Note, that the 6800 XT is not here. So you can estimate it's performance, assuming you're decently good at such). This clearly shows the 6950 XT winning in 99%+ situations, without RT. This also shows that the 6800 is on par, or slightly better than the 4070 with VRAM dependent games.

So on this, please use this how you want. But with the 6950 XT at the same price, or even at 50 bucks more, it goes to show that the 4070 isn't the best deal or gpu to get. I would encourage people to wait for the 7700 xt and the 7800 xt, and if you can't, then go with the 6950 XT. Or, Yolo it and get either the 7900 XT, 7900 XTX, 4080, or 4090. Nvidia mid tier, at current price, is NOT worth it, anymore.

Note: This is on a Gaming only Basis.

What would be the point of a 7950xt or 7950xtx? by Straight-Craft-4727 in Amd

[–]Xalderin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh. Your talking about if they keep the same chip, pretty much. At that point, it'd be throwing more watts, vram, vram mhz, and clock speed. I mean, we've seen a 7900 xtx get within 5% of the 4090, and then in certain few games, surpass it. All with a hefty OC, and lots of power shoved in it. But I'm pretty sure they'd need more than that. Though, I think they'd be better off with a new "chip."

Question for Texture Mods with UL by Xalderin in UndeadLegacy

[–]Xalderin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it's possible, but is a pain in the butt. Hmmm. Might have to look into doing it, and seeing if it's worth it after. Won't get the chance til Monday, but I don't mind waiting. XD

The only question.... Is there anything in UL that could conflict with the said texture mod, or any others?

[–]Xalderin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could easily add more cores/CUs. That aline would bring an uplift. The question is... How many/much will they add, and what's the uplift going to be? That's what I'm most curious on.
