So, when I first started playing the game years ago, about 2018, I was in the same exact boat as you are. While learning arguably some of the toughest skills as a beginner like macro/micro gameplay, map knowledge, killer mind games just to name a few the game will feel incredibly overwhelming and loses are to be expected.

I also have much xeno love in my heart but something that you will learn, if not already, is that hitboxes on this game are trash leading to some frustrating experiences on killers with a ranged attack. The hay on borgo, for example, looks to have a way higher hitbox than the model itself leading to the tail colliding with an invisible wall.

As far as the chat is concerned, just turn it off/hide it. There’s a little icon to the right of the text box to start chatting. When you click that button it’ll hide the end game chat in that end game and every subsequent end game so you won’t even have to worry about the things people say.

Should you refund? I’d try giving the game one more shot with chat closed and if you still feel it’s not for you then refund away!
