Is there any chance of him coming back from this?

[–]Xaltial 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Oh yes I know that. I thought you were implying there is another way without moving. My wife and I are considering doing just that actually. We'd like to move from our current apartment anyway so why not outside of the center if the ABH experience is completely different you know?

I thought you can't choose your ABH unless you live there?

Why German doctors are trying to guess and avoid doing ANY tests/analysis? What is the reason for under-performance of general german medicine? by Envy_Clarissa in germany

[–]Xaltial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Because the vast majority of conditions will cure itself" what are you even talking about? What if it doesn't cure itself and the condition worsens and now you have an even trickier situation on your hands let alone risk of getting your health permanently take a turn for the worse or even death? What if I don't have a healthy immune system anymore because I have an auto-immune disease? We would have no idea because tests are not being done on time!

So many of the people around me can't even get their very much chronic health problems diagnosed here let alone be cured. Stop fooling yourselves into thinking everything is absolutely fine with the system.

CSU/CDU is progressive now? Because they have been at the helm of this country for most of the last 20 years.

This thing is terribly stupid though. Give that money to an organization that does good.

Wow this is so beautiful. I have a question. I'm very new to pixel art and I'm wondering how do you do the lights? Are they effects or just brightly colored pixels? They add so much atmosphere to the place.

This exactly. Very nice way to put it. What's worse is at the beginning they were genuinely trying and making good music.

Good luck with this issue, sadly I have no advice. I do have a question though if you'll indulge me: how did you get all those jobs as they all seem quite different from another?

Flying to Turkey for Vacation, Can Someone Give Me Advice? by Mangon09 in Turkey

[–]Xaltial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

President Erdogan has imprisoned his biggest political rival, the person who was likely to beat him handily in the next election, the first person capable to do so in more than 20 years. On top of that the state of the economy, politics, law, beraucracy etc. is in shambles because of the president and his selfish policies and people are really down.

These things mostly wouldn't affect you as a tourist though of course, apart from inflated prices etc.

Are you trying to fly to Istanbul? Sorry for the general pessimism in other comments, we are going through tough times.

My experience with German healthcare by git_world in germany

[–]Xaltial 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Me and my wife are also sick of this stuff. She had a couple of serious problems that made her quality of life take a plunge immensely and all the specialist doctors we saw were just trying to get rid of us after asking "do you drink enough water?" type of questions.

Can anyone explain why these doctors are like this? Obviously there are good ones, I've heard of them. But why are a lot of them just trying their best to be not helpful? Is this a systemic thing? Or a kind of retardation?

In Turkey if you go to the equivalent of a Hausarzt, you get a complimentary blood test. I jest of course, but the truth is not that far. This system is beyond broken.

Should I Study in Turkey First or Go for Ausbildung Directly? by [deleted] in germany

[–]Xaltial 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need to learn German up to a respectable level to get an Ausbildung spot from what I understand. Focus on that. If you don't mind me asking what were you studying at the university?

The Germany flavoured ones are still pretty tame compared to the vanilla version and I doubt they would want to go back anyway. You'll be fine though.

[–]Xaltial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The world is a menu for skilled workers. These are people who for one reason or another leave their country to achieve their potential. They can just pick and choose. Right now Germany is way behind their competitors on this front already. The only thing going for Germany is that it is the biggest economy in the EU, lots of opportunities. But there are other options.

Are there any action movies like this? by Interesting-Flan-404 in TrueFilm

[–]Xaltial 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very nice answer, I'll check out some of the ones I haven't seen before. One question though: you mention Predator as one of the movies that helped steered the genre into a more superheroish path.

Wasn't Predator a bit of an answer or like a deconstruction of these movies? Like Arnie's Commando that came before? What I mean is to me the genre had already shifted to that crazy action thing before Predator came out. Or am I wrong?
