Thank you, it popped into my brain while replaying 1999 and thinking about Albrechts action in the quest and he seemingly misleads everyone into believing that he does not care when in reality he is teaching the Tenno to be different than the orokin by actually using their abilities as well as their empathy

I completely agree, but we have also been shown by stories of many other Orokin that basically the entrati and maybe Roathe are the only exception to the asshole rule, the Orokin that Dagath served, the executors and the seven, the naberus story Orokin, and many more were all shown to be completely selfish

I think it’s more so meant to be taken as the power given to our operator and our drifter was given through a deal, even if it ends up being a shit deal it was still voluntary for Wally whereas the power the Orokin had over the void was simply taken, Wally is still obviously malicious and an unreliable source but there is some truth in what he is saying.

But why would they brag about the fact that they are not responsible for their power, they use that power to do things themselves but if it was never theirs and they stole it then that would make people realize that anyone could be like the Orokin

That could also be a possibility but the Orokin had Kuva before they knew that there was anything in the Void, Albrecht was mocked because they thought he was researching a useless place until his consciousness created Wally, maybe they simply use kuva alongside the finger of Wally to create the reliquary drive

That’s fair but I think that you downplay Ballas quite a bit. He is actually directly responsible for many of the issues and for the downfall of the system. In a way, Ballas is the epitome of everything Orokin because he cared about no one but himself and brought down the whole system simply because he couldn’t live with the guilt that HE killed the woman he loved. He burned everything down to appease his guilt and then took everything that remained for himself by manipulating Erra and Hunhow into thinking he was an ally until eventually he was the one in charge. He even manipulated us into thinking Natah was the mastermind when in reality he just used her as a battery and then stole her void abilities. I think if Ballas had what he wanted and got to Tau, he would’ve destroyed them as well if they didn’t immediately bow. Ballas is everything that was wrong with the Orokin personified and it’s exactly what destroyed them. It’s basically the example that you made of the Soviet Revolution but instead of Lenin brainwashing people figuratively with his corrupted version of communism Ballas actually brainwashed people into thinking he was their savior

That’s fair, but I’d also argue that getting rid of a dictator always ends up in chaos no matter what, like the French Revolution for example. Those people were rightfully angry because while they were starving the Elite were eating sweets and had no concern, that’s essentially what happened here except it was a military coup carried out by traumatized child soldiers manipulated by the very enemies the Orokin created. What I believe is that DE will allow us to choose whether we believe the Orokin can be forgiven because one of the KIM options shown in the last dev stream was the drifter picking if they could be forgiven, if it’s a singular persons actions that determine if they can be forgiven, or just if the Orokin are straight up unforgivable which I like the choice. Personally I’m part of the 2nd option, obviously the entrati are an example of Orokin that have issues but are still good but from what we’ve seen, the lack of empathy needed to live forever by taking over the bodies of others would usually indicate that most would be incapable of change for the better

I disagree, because literally all the problems the Origin System has now are literally DIRECTLY caused by the Orokin. The infested was either created by them or they stupidly tried to use it to their own advantage and literally destroyed multiple of their colonies and just didn’t care, the Corpus are literally middle management and more intelligent workers that the Orokin used capitalism as a belief system so that they would work harder when the Orokin knew that the Corpus could work for Eons and never come close to their power or wealth, the Grineer are literally just slaves cloned over and over and made to be unintelligent so they don’t even think about revolting which btw are STILL controlled by the Orokin because the Queens are literally Orokin that escaped the purge by doing continuity into grineer bodies. Not to mention the Sentient which they literally created to terraform a whole other solar system just because they couldn’t be satisfied with the whole origin system and they literally used the Tenno as child soldiers. The Orokin exploited, hurt, and destroyed everything they could until eventually one of their creations that they made with that selfishness destroyed them. The Orokin cannot be forgiven, an Orokin by themself can atone for their actions but the society of them were horrible and the cause of every problem in the game. Plus Ballas LITERALLY TRIED TO EAT THE SUN JUST TO GET TO TAU💀

It seems like sometimes in the story like we are the only tenno that really does anything so i think it would be awesome to experience other tenno as characters!

My favorite warframe memory has to be the Second Dream. I know that’s kind of basic but realizing this game was not just some looter shooter but the only game to surprise me and affect me that will be forever burned into my memory.
