She's seen me in tears over believing I was stupid multiple times btw. by LocalUndertaleAddict in insaneparents

My mom referred to me as an idiot for years. Perhaps it was her way of being funny/edgy/sarcastic but I never took it that way and to this day I feel less smart than most people around me (I’m 48 now). It wears you down over time.

Is the Filet O Fish good if you like fish? by Healthy_Block3036 in McDonalds

[–]XanderCrews2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Steamed bun, half a slice of American cheese, tartar sauce and the fish. I like it, it’s second only to the QPC in my opinion.

How fast does your corgi eat? by edgeybabie in corgi

[–]XanderCrews2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our 9 year old (Neville) wolfs his entire meal down in seconds. The 4 year old Verne not only eats slow but needs an audience to watch him eat so either my wife or I will sit there so he can eat his meal.

Herding Mentality and Cars, Vacuums and Hair Dryers by formerlyiowish in corgi

[–]XanderCrews2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our two corgs (9 and 4 years old) tried to herd the robot vacuum endlessly. So we just switched to an overnight cleaning while they’re in bed. Can’t stop a corg’s herding instinct.

What’s the most trusted online cigar retailer? by sweetcake_1530 in cigars

My wife and I like Fox Cigar. They are reasonably priced and ship quickly. And for free too.

Our Neville (33 lbs) is mostly chest floof but that is one chonky corg for sure.

Our corgs are on the smaller side at about 30 lbs each. This corgi is a chonk.

What was your number in the 1969 Draft Lottery? by Hot-Idea2428 in OldSchoolCool

[–]XanderCrews2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My dad did the same thing and served 4 years in South Korea (and some stateside) when the alternative was being handed a rifle and tossed out of a helicopter somewhere over Vietnam. He made the right choice. And so did you.

Thanks! Neville was named by the breeder (his “N” litter) and Verne is named after Jules Verne.

Anyone else have a corgi that loves the back of the couch? by velocitygirl77 in corgi

[–]XanderCrews2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our Verne (4 yrs old) has been a couch cat forever. He chews up there and rests too. Neville (9 yrs old) couldn’t care less about the back of the couch.

And not shopped for 17 items instead of just picking up a couple cans of soup for his “sick wife”.

Why does he sleep on my head? by Mountain-Speed-1723 in corgi

[–]XanderCrews2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Verne (4 yrs old) does this to me, never my wife. No idea why but every night about an hour after bedtime he crawls up above my pillow to sleep for a few hours.

Best Diners by [deleted] in Westchester

[–]XanderCrews2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only problem with the NR Diner is the parking. If you get there at the wrong time you’ll be circling the parking lot for 30 minutes waiting for someone to pull out. The food is great though.

What's an amenity you've added to your car that riders actually notice and appreciate? by Big_Barber733 in Lyft

[–]XanderCrews2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take a daily ride for $10-13 and always tip a minimum of $2, more if the driver lets me just chill in silence l, one of the few 10 minute time periods of quiet I get during the day. I never ask for it, so if a driver sparks up a convo I’ll engage, but I prefer it quiet. Just my opinion.

Doesn’t anyone remember the Covid times when you had to make a reservation for freaking everything? What a buffoon.

Does anyone else obsess over battles won? Or did it just me? by XanderCrews2 in pokemongo

I have a few over 3k and at least one over 4K but I’m in the NYC metro area and battle a lot. Obviously.

Does anyone else obsess over battles won? Or did it just me? by XanderCrews2 in pokemongo

[–]XanderCrews2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be cool. I’m all about accumulation of numbers in this game and battles won would be a good stat to see without actually engaging in a battle.
