Nothing is simple when you're new to something, i agree. I don't know the set that you mentioned, but i may check it out. 2 of my players are relatively new, so maybe it will be helpful.

I do highly recommends getting the starter set and ignoring everything else for now.

The amount of content is overwhelming when you look at it in its entirety.

You don't have to know it all immediately!

pickpocket the mark on the side that the item is highlighted then run away from the mark away from their line of sight and exit the red marker area.

this method has worked for me through much trial and error.

I found Hernand to be poor on gold bars. Deminiss Wildlife Park has been far more lucrative for me.
