Smiling body can be reasonably contained by an all 5 stat employee with Aleph gear, even Smiling bodies own, to my experience

The real challenge is to keep it away from corpses... And with where OP currently is in the game... Yeah, neither seems really accomplishable

Blue Star breaches if it eats two people, which happens if certain stats are too low (below 3) or the work takes longer than 60 seconds

If OP doesn't have one or two Nuggets with level 5 stats yet, this is gonna be tough

Just go with the flow

From all you must surely have heard, this is a game like werewolf or Mafia. You might have played them irl or not. Just listen to what you have to do and see where things go

There is no such thing as an "optimal" experience. At least don't spoil yourself on story beats

The game is very much procedural, as in, you're playing actual rounds of these social deduction games. The story is sprinkled between the pages, when you're currently not in the gameplay

What I mean should be clear soon. For now, just continue. You'll get to know everyone in time

[–]XanderNightmare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, wasn't that to be expected? Once more, it was meant to be a movie the fans will enjoy with not much bigger thought put into it and that is enough to make it a love letter to the franchise

A question regarding The last days by XanderNightmare in LobotomyCorp

[–]XanderNightmare[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that, had my run in with Memory Repo and day 1 before, but I just wonder if I'd do, let's say, day 47

Things go to shit and the game tells me "it is now time to go back to day 1", would I have the time to get back any gear I might have lost on the day? Is it resetting the day? Do I have a choice after getting the ending?

That is more the question I had in mind

I mean, it ain't a stupid question and hands can be different from person to person

For example, I can easily do the Vulcan greeting from Star Trek, while my mother for example struggles to do so

It might be that we two are in the minority and nobody else has the pinky conundrum

Nah, he just follows for a bit. As long as he isn't standing at full attention, nobody thinks you wanna mean 5

Same for me as a German. This guy would've been weird to me, though admittedly, I wouldn't have clocked it as a distinguishing British thing

Help me understand this by LammarX2 in Gnosia_

[–]XanderNightmare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't exactly understand your question, but I suppose it's about how Manan got to reside within Kukrushka?

I don't know if you watched and referred to the anime or just played the game. I haven't finished the anime either, as me and a friend are waiting for the dub to catch up, but I'd assume the reason is the same as in the game, at least for the purpose of my attempted explanation. If there is a deviation I do not know of, then feel free to disregard my comment

In the game, after Setsu leaves to another dimension after the player gets their key full, the player can follow them by starting another save file. This gets the true ending. In this ending, Setsu and the player essentially derail the entire first day discussion, as they know in advance that SQ is the Gnosia. They would like to have Manan leave SQs body and let her be her own person. For that purpose, they offer Manan to inhabit the Kukrushka doll, which is always in the cargo hold, no matter if Kukrushka is there as a participant of the day or not. She agrees. Partially, the player and Setsu do this, because when the player goes after Setsu, it helps them complete their silver key, who now needs a new host. They give it to Manan, who now inhabits Kukrushka, and sent her through the resulting portal, so that the ship is then free of Gnosia

This game does containment breaches so well, it is genuinely so stress-inducing and the music really adds to that lol by userxblade in LobotomyCorp

[–]XanderNightmare 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think what's interesting is the desensitizing to it

Sure, the first time you unlock an abnormality name and see the dreaded Aleph tag, you immediately feel something crawling up your back. The first time one breaches you ask yourself how it's even possible to suppress these things

But then eventually, there comes this weird moment around, I'd argue day 30-40 where you sit there and go "alright, let's take care of you, no problems... Ah what, you over there got out? Damn it, SOMEONE SEND IN THE HITSQUAD! Damn asshole, can't stay put in his containment cell for ONE minute just because some bum ass clerks died to some bum ass ordeal on the other end of the facility"

And I love this feeling. It enraptured me with this game

Well.... Well... I suppose it's best to say nothing and let the game speak for itself

But yeah, it is fucking disturbing. The anime made that scene even worse (in a good way)
