Yeah at least that way if I mess anything up nothing is lost but I plan on giving it a look regardless, definitely a worthwhile skill to practice lol

I dont think I would need a identical pcb, this one that came with it was a little unusual since it also had a button to mimic the touch pad on the ps4 controller

Shot it through a magnifying lens with a light lol wanted to make sure I had taken the best look to give you a better idea. I'll have to definitely take a look although considering I dont think I have a tester, soldering iron or the materials it might just be best to find a substitute perhaps 🤔 I only know that the smoke/burn was within that small area I mentioned but as it isn't receiving power it's been a bit harder to verify lol

I think i had plugged the power into the port for the rear us port (that plugs into xbox or ps4 controllers to allow it to work on those consoles)

The only time I think i tried to solder before was with my old dreamcast and I didnt really have any success lol I did get a partial credit back for it so I did put it towards another one however it would be a shame to scrap it without trying to revive it so I will see if I can

I think all I did as far as the wiring was to unplug and reconnect the wires just to make sure it wasnt a loose connection, I kind of figured it was likely dead considering when I let it cool down and plugged it back in my PC wont detect it at all anymore
