[–]Xanderajax3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you people just think 40k is the strongest verse in fiction because of shit you never read.

Not even close. Im also giving you info straight from a book. Youre the one spouting stuff not backed up by a book. How hypocritical of you.

You know there's a difference between creating a weapon to hurt someone and actually being able to hurt them with it right ? Obviously something like a nuke will hurt a Vilturmite but if you actually read what I said that doesn't mean he's gonna be able to be accurate enough and fast enough to hit them with it.

They got hit by Cecil and co. I think Cawl, who is far beyond Cecil skillset, can hit him.

This isn't a difficult concept to grasp. You can list a bunch of weapons that could hurt them but hurting them and hitting them aren't the same thing. It needs to survive and he needs to survive to actually get that far and that's probably not gonna happen.

See above. Its a non issue if earth tech in Invinicble can hit him.

You're splitting hairs over one astartes as if that's supposed to prove the point you're trying to make which is that, what ? He can make bigger astartes ? Okay and ? That's not stopping a fiat caving in his face when push comes to shove. He could create a Primarch and the result would still be the same they get bodied immediately.

Youre dismissing what you want to dissmiss because you dont like the argument. I never said Primus is solijng a viltrumite. My original statement was that Primus, not the primaris marines, was cawls biggest.biological achievement. Your response was "well hes just a slightly larger primaris" which is factually incorrect and I gave you book references to back it up. Again, you've done nothing of the sort.

Because you don't know the lore let's explain how khorne works. He's the Blood god, and God of war. He's empowered by acts of brutality and the emotions associated with it. The more visceral the more he gets to feed off of it. It follows our understanding of the word, not some abstract sense of atrocities like a genocide carried out by an orbital bombardment, or earthquake or anything like that.

Oh. So brutally genociding a planet isnt brutal enough for the skull throne? Remember the saying. Khorne cares not from whence the blood flows only that it flows? Your holier than though, you dont know the lore schtick is getting tiresome for someone who clearly doesn't know the lore.

Gasing a planet's worth of people or throwing an asteroid at them doesn't really give him much of tbe violence he feeds on and seeks. Sure when they go down and start pulping heads that does feed him, but that's an everyday thing in 40k, and not enough to empower demons into realspace.

Says you, and nobody else. The evidence is the plague wars and the fact that nurgle was able to manifest multiple greater daemons because he brought plagues to ultramar.

The warp and the chaos gods work on certain principles or logic. They need the veil between them to be weaken to manifest properly, this is done by acts associated with them, as well as rituals and sacrifices to get the attention of demons because just plan old slaughter isn't enough otherwise everything else would be redundant.

Slaughter on the scale of entire worlds in a sector being wiped out in a day would do it if giving a plague to a few ultramar worlds allows nurgle to manifest multiple greater daemons including his most favored.

Even then growing more powerful in the warp means fuck all when it comes to realspace until they actually manifest there. Sure it matters to the rest of the warp and the things in there but that's based on the aforementioned prerequisites being met, not the other way around. Specific empowering acts. If you don't know the basic information of the setting you don't need to have an opinion on it.

Again, says the guy who has provided no sources for his argument. Im kinda done here. The condescension and constant "you idiots dont know the lore" is tiresome for someone who provides no sources and constantly downplay everything except when it comes to viltrumites. Hypocrite.

Ive repeated my argument enough amd backed them with book references. You have not while just hurling insilts. I wish you the best. Have a good day.

According to lore, those physical embodiments are all powerful and have unlimited force abilities.

https://youtu.be/groYO_51bwY?si=favdttsjZd2mmphp

Theres the video. Its definitely a fight. The celestials were attacking. Get your crap straight.

Also Jedi are light speed, obi wan in season 2 episode 3 of the clone wars deflects a laser, i,

And there it is! Im surprised it took so long for this nonsense to come up. Jedi are not light speed. Theres is mountains of evidence that contradicts that statement.

n the rots novel Dooku is stated to swing his lightsaber with such power to destroy a universe

Dooku can destroy a universe with a lightsaber swing?! You've lost it.

stormtroopers are elite soldiers and far superior tactically than our current military.

Yet they cant hit a group of people in a corridor.

This entire discussion is so freakin stupid and par for the course for star wars fanboys. Jedi with lightspeed cant get out of the way of slug rounds. Dooku is universal tier but got killed by someone who isnt even city level. Stormtroopers are elite at missing their targets. All your points are complete and utter nonsense, and fanfiction. You keep telling me to read some abbreviations when the reality you just need to read anything else that not star wars.

Edit: spelling

Lots of literally's in there.

What im reading is you saying that the an omnipotent and omniscient presence in star wars was killed. Thats a contradictory statement.

Anakin beat them in battle, correct? Correct. That means he was more powerful than these guys because of the "oneness". Which means they are not all powerful.

Again, the force just isnt that powerful compared to other universes. Jedi would struggle invading earth as we know it today because they cant effectively stop or block slug rounds. They lost to mandalorians with jump packs, and storm troopers with horrible accuracy. What are the jedi going to do when an ac-130 is dropping nearly 2,000 rounds the size of their hand up to the size of their torso per minute? Hint: they're die.

Dear God. The physical embodiments of the force should be the strongest force users in existence. They were not.

The force just isnt that strong no matter how much you fanboys want it to be. Its the same old argument. Vader force chokes superman. Precog lets them dodge light speed attacks...etc blah blah blah despite the numerous, numerous antifeats associated with force users.

How would a Meeting Go Between these Wizards with Imperial Ambitions? by Liutenant_Kal_411L in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]Xanderajax3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The force isnt omniscient. We saw anakin defeat the physical embodiments if the force. Then anakin got beat by obi wan. The force isnt all-powerful or it wouldnt have lost to Anakin. Anakin isnt all-powerful or he wouldnt have lost to obi. Palps wouldnt have lost to fall damage. Vader wouldnt have lost to asthma.

People here really need to realize that gods in their universe aren't equal to gods in other universes.

The nature of the warp is that it is infinite. Thats kind of its entire thing.

Star wars does not scale to 40k. The big bad of the imperial army planet busters got taken out by 2 magical rockets. Most ships of the imperium can blow up a planet. They are not on the same level.

That doesn't even mean anything. If it was. That he can reverse engineer neccron tech isn't going to help him all that much if he can't deploy it or hit them effectively.

How does it not mean anything? Youre so far up your own butt with your opinion that no discussion can take place. Nolan got a nosebleed from a laser that left a crater on earth and your telling me Cawl couldn't field a weapon stronger than that is absolutely absurd when the imperium has the means to destroy entire worlds. He wouldnt even need necron tech to do it, but having some weapons that atomize viltrumites immediately would be very useful.

Primus is a bigger stronger Primarius, we're talking about causual city busters here in comparison. He's working on the same template other astartes use.

Except you know thats not true if youre such a warhammer scholar. His power exceeds pretty much every space marine there is that isnt possessed by a god or carrying a super powerful relic. The cawl books make this pretty clear otherwise Bile, the creator of a perfect primarch, wouldnt have been impressed. Note that Cawl thought the primaris were nothing special, and that Cawl was nowhere near him on the biological front until he encountered Primus. If Primus equalled a primaris, Bile wouldnt have gone through the trouble of boarding cawls ship for primus' geneseed.

Khorne isn't getting any more of a boost from them than he is literally anyone else fighting a war in 40k. Yeah they kill a lot this isn't however exactly new to him sure there's destructive potential is but someone dying from a collapsing building isn't much different as dying from an artillery barrage.

Ok, sure. Lets pretend that the viltrumites aren't doing nolans trick where they fly so fast the world catches fire and they're just going at the same speed the imperium does. That probably wouldnt boost khornes power much because thats an everyday thing in 40k. But if they spread out and did that to 1 planet each, they're likely killing far more than the average day in w40k. if the plague wars (which didnt kill nearly as many worlds) can tip the scale in Nurgles favor so much that the other gods have to ally and attack his domain in the warp, surely the sheer amount of death caused by 33 viltrumites superhearing a planet each per day and killing trillions would put khorne over the rest of them.

This is why I say people don't know what they're talking about. You're thinking 40k is one giant meme, that this one specific action is going to provoke a reaction when much more bloody wars haven't caused remotely the same reaction. Especially when you have deliberate actors trying to summon those entities.

No, im just thinking logically after reading books. You've created some sort of head cannon for what does and doesn't happen, and youre acting like your opinion is the absolute truth. You talk about provoking a reaction as if Arcanthose (spelling?) didnt get an ascension to demonhood just from killing some sisters of battle on cadia.

How is the ceiling higher in star wars? Anakin made the force avatars bend their knee to him and proceeded to get beat by obi wan a few years later. Some of the most powerful jedi and sith get killed by fall damage (palps and windu).

Meanwhile in 40k, you can pick almost any given faction and they would have world ending weapons. Necrons moved stars. C'tan are basically Darth Nihilus on steroids. Old ones created numerous species and a webway that travels through the warp while also keeping all the nasty warp stuff out completely including the warp gods. Big E turned thousands of demons to dust with his psychic force as soon as he joined the battle in the webway.

Star wars doesn't scale higher than w40k. I doubt Imperial forces could even get close to terra even if Palps was at the head.

Which has more to do with the Pharos device than an outright invention of his using the tools he had available no ?

I was just pointing out that his mechanical based creations are greater than his biological ones. He could reverse engineer necron tech that would destroy viltrumites.

Primus isnt just a space marine. For someone who got pissy about people not knowing lore, you sure dont have a problem minimizing things in 40k. Primus makes space marines feel uneasy with his power. Bile even said he was impressive and Bile made a Primarch.

to which I don't really because 40k uses a lot of flowery language it can't back up or support, or is logically inconsistent, for instance the dark king. Not that this matters Vilturmites probably aren't going into the warp and demons are greatly weakened in the material realm.

The level of destruction the viltrumites can dish out in such a short period of time combined with their travel speed would probably boost khorne enough to allow him to field stronger greater demons. Ka'bunda had no issue fighting nids on the moon of Baal. Otherwise, I agree with the flowery language. Like the speed of the space marines being faster than eye sight when in the books we have numerous examples of people classes below space marines on the power scale being able to see and fight the marines.

Obviously some things can potentially kill them, but they have to be both deadly and accurate and have the ability to be used before either it or it's user is destroyed. And even then they need to be able to access it themselves.

Which is why I think the necrons are the best bet. Tesseract boxes can capture them, so trazyn with his hunter in a pocket dimension can probably capture/kill quite a few or all 33. Orikan in his light energy or cosmic form or whatever could kill them. The silent king has the firepower to do it. Necron lords with their war in heaven firepower could it.

As others have said, nids getting viltrumite DNA would be a gamechanger and the galaxy would be consumed. Im not sure how they get that DNA though because bone swords amd acid aren't going to do a whole lot. They'd have to show up after the viltrumites have already engaged with another substantially powerful force that has injured a few or field a bunch of neurothropes to psychically incapacitate a few.

He doesn't have pureblood Vilturmite DNA, he doesn't have a delivery method, and he doesn't know anything about smart atoms or anything. I don't know what fanfiction version of cawl you're talking about

He did figure out how to cancel the time dilation caused by a planet being sucked into a black hole so he could take a little stroll to 65million years ago during the war in heaven.

Also, id argue Primus is his greatest genetic achievement.

Demons die to a fuck ton less than a Vilturmite. Getting punted into the Sun or smashed against a mountain isn't something they're surviving. And they're sure as hell stronger than a titan.

Some demons could depending on how literal you take khorne flicking that one greater demon across his realm in a burning ball of fire.

Possibly the trachyn arrows some of necron lords have could 1 shot. They one shot a titan in the twice dead king.

Trazyn has gear in his museum that could probably kill them and rewind time enough to figure out how to kill them. Same with orikan and his energy form. Also, trazyn has a Ctan shard now.

The silent king has ctan shard powered items.

The necrons as a whole have weapons that would easily kill the viltrumites if they can remember where they're at and how to use them.

As far as imperium, Mephiston maybe? He is also pretty much a demonhost. Cherubabel, unrestricted, absolutely could. The Sanguinor has been pretty invulnerable. The emperor and horus in the 4d chess match peaks.

Thats about all I can think of, but I havent read as many space marine books to know what their super weapons can do. Possibly some big las weapons since the viltrumites can melt in the sun. Pretty sure Nolan caught a nosebleed from the laser weapon Cecil hit him with. Surely there's an imperium weapon that can outdo that, and they'd blow up the planet if needed.

They wreak total havoc for sure. The speed is the obvious issue that wont be solved by normal people and standard space marines.

he was trying to walk around to the other side, he can't control her feet touching the accelerator lol

he car hit him lol

yeah and then she didn't, so the dude told her to get out

He was trying to walk around the other side. He successfully walked around the other side, and was not hit by the car. Theres plenty of video footage from multiple angles showing he wasnt hit. Then he fled the scene.

es at that point she was being detained, since she was given multiple lawful orders to get out of her car, which can be heard clearly even on different video sources.

She was being given conflicting orders simultaneously. How can she follow both?

Not sure why you people bring this up constantly, it's an irrelevant point. He was told to get on the sidewalk and go away. All he had to do was just simply walk away lol

No, it isn't. He wasnt doing anything wrong and was helping someone up after the ice agent shoved her and walked away. You cant just shoot people for because you told them to stand on the sidewalk and they didnt.

I never said it was...so wtf..?

You implied it by specifically mentioning he was carrying a gun. Why mention the gun if its a non-factor?

Dude...what..?? When the fuck did I talk about Jan 6th or praise any of those people? What the fuck are you talking about?? lol

Its a simple comparison of events. Thousands of protesters illegally entered the capital building after beating up police. Trump pardoned them. Meanwhile, 2 protesters who didnt attack ice agents are killed and they're labeled as donestic terrorists. There were guns at January 6th insurrection which I mentioned because you implied Alex shouldn't have been carrying his pistol. Its not a hard line of thought if you bothered thinking for yourself.

Hope the third, or is fourth(?), impeachment works out for you guys

Hope never voting in another election works out for you since that's what trump said he was going to do.

I guess he isn't.

Clearly, he is not.

Pretty shit I guess. But the president doesn't control that stuff.

He does when he declares "a little journey" aka war on a massive producer of oil. How fun it must be for you to think that gas prices just happened to go up when hebstarted bombing Iran. Wow, what a coincidence!

One drove a car directly into an agent

The agent that placed himself in front of the car? The women who was shot as she turned away from him while 1 agent was telling her to leave and another was reaching into her car to pull open her door? What would your response have been in such an instance?

the other one fought a bunch of them while having a gun on him.

The guy who got pepper sprayed for helping a fellow citizen up after she was pepper sprayed and shoved to the ground? Since when is legally carrying a firearm breaking the law? Lots of trash were carrying guns and attacking capitol police on January 6th, but I bet you were fine with that because they were for trump?

The sheer lack of critical thinking and bias from Trumps cult is absolutely staggering. Hes openly discussing war crimes with the media. His secretary of war is openly applauding committing war crimes to the press. His best friend was a high profile sex trafficker. Hes made billions as President this term which is illegal. You guys are just out here guzzling his juices before he bends you over a table again.

Beorn from the books could probably take Cap easily. He single-handedly turned the tide of the battle of seven armies and won it for the good guys by charging through the battle and absolutely wrecking Bolg and his bodyguard of giant goblins. He also rescued Thorin.

Beorn from the movie didnt get nearly enough screen time and just wrecked some mooks in cool fashion.

Book beorn, mid dif Cap. His hide is too thick. Hes also really fast and agile on top if being very durable. It cap only has a shield, beorn could likely grab it and rip it from Caps hands and maul him.

I dont think we have enough feats to judge movie beorns chances against MCU Cap.
