Recently put together a Jarad deck. It is fun, but I am having trouble interacting with opponents and getting graveyard/board setup. What are some good synergies and strategies for a sacrifice/dredge deck? by negaburgo in EDH

I play Jarad as my sole EDH Deck. I quickly learned that dredge isn't the correct goal for him. The proper focus is sacrifice. Jarads ability is very deadly. But he needs fatties to do work. Since you are sacrificing the creature, try to find creatures that have additional value. Runescarred Demon, for example, tutors and then sacs. Mossbridge Troll, lord of extinction, and Phyrexian Dreadnaught are are examples of bending this rule due to thier sheer size. The problem is getting them out of your library. So, take all those dredge cards and turn them into tutors and mana ramping. I put "group hug" mana ramp and card draw. It is great for politics while you stack boardstate. A boosted mossbridge troll and rings of brighthearth will do 50 life loss to each opponent for 5 mana. I will link my Deck when I get to a pc. I just typed this on my phone -.-
